A lovely set of twelve sterling silver demitasse spoons by Whiting. This pattern, probably referred to as “39”, was most likely only made as demitasse spoons. Whiting produced a number of patterns in the 1880s and 90s that were limited in this way. The handles, beautifully decorated with a pierced pattern of lilies of the valley, blend into corkscrew twist stems that connect to bowls enhanced with repousse decoration of chrysanthemums...

Very rare sterling silver fish slice in the 1869 “Tiffany” pattern by Tiffany & Co. The pattern is characterized by a classical simplicity heightened with engraved strapwork in the Persian taste. The entire surface has an unusual matte finish. The pattern was modified slightly in later years and was called “Beekman”. The back is stamped “Tiffany & Co. Sterling Pat. 1869.”

Rare 19th C Hamilton & Dresinger, Philadelphia, PA, American brilliant cut glass jar with hinged sterling sliver hand chased repousse lid. Beautifully monogrammed, this may have been used as a dresser box. Lid weight is substantial and seals securely when closed. In excellent condition, it measures $ inches high, 2.5" diameter.

A Webster sterling silver swing handle candy or bonbon basket from 1900. This Queen Anne style basket has an openwork handle, a gadrooned design and a script GDH monogram in the interior. It measures 6-1/4 x 4-3/8" and it stands 1-1/2" high without the 4" high handle. It is stamped with STERLING and the Webster silver mark and it weighs 66.1 grams. It is in excellent condition with no bends, corrosion, damage or repairs other than the monogram and some very slight dents on the initial area...

A superb pair of sterling silver footed baskets by Lambert & Co., one of the most highly-esteemed Victorian silversmiths in London (mentioned by Charles Dickens in his writings). The baskets are ornately pierced and rise on ornate scrolled foot collars. The rims are decorated classically with acanthus leaves and scrolls, but a hint of Art Noveau appears in tiny irises, chrysanthemums and forget-me-nots that are scattered along the rim...

Lovely set of 12 sterling silver cocktail or seafood forks by Davis & Galt. The handles are heavily decorated with an unusual repousse paisley pattern. The workmanship is very nice. The backs are hallmarked by the maker and have the retailer’s mark for Bailey, Banks & Biddle.

Pair of antique, circa 1900 A.D.Armenian, splendid solid silver filigree candy baskets, made of characteristic Armenian fine silver filigree wire, twisted, and soldered with excellent precision. Each rounded form is resting on a ring-shaped foot. The center is decorated with rosettes with flaring sides and a scalloped rim affixed with braided rope handles. There are no obvious maker's or assays' marks.

From our European Collection, a fine and elegant 19th century bronze tazza, probably French, featuring well-cast leonine head motifs with twisted serpentine handles, supported upon a tapering circular pedestal base with some very attractive and realistically cast floral motifs. A phenomenal Victorian sterling silver soup ladle in Whiting’s “No. 26” pattern. The top of the handle features incredibly detailed peony foliage. The twist stem leads to the fluted and scalloped bowl. At the junction of the bowl and stem, a full-blown peony blossom is delicately engraved into the silver.
