A classic George III sterling silver wine coaster, the bombe sides with egg and dart decoration and the rim with gadrooning. The decoration is finely crafted. The turned wood base is centered with a silver escutcheon bearing an unidentified coat of arms (dancetty with three swords points down) impaling that of Ashby (ermine chevron and three leopard’s heads) tied with a ribbon. The coaster is clearly stamped with hallmarks for London and the second George III duty mark (1786-1821)...

Gorgeous oval bronze jewel box from Russia's Imperial era, the top decorated with opaque champleve enamels. The box is decorated around the bottom edge with a row of cast beads. This decorative element is repeated on the lid. The lid is decorated with typically Russian arabesques worked in five shades of enamel. Polish Winged Hussar massive sword (broadsword) Pałasz (pallasch) with a karabela hilt and a semi-closed guard composed of a carved horn grip, secured to the tang of the blade with three rivets with domed pewter heads (one rivet has a silver washer).

Absolutely beautiful silver plate tray with center crest and decoration, handles on each end and fabulous serpentine, reticulated edges. This tray is marked by the maker, but I couldn't find the mark. It is old and in excellent condition. It measures 29 1/2" long x 22" deep.

Very well crafted set of Thai tea set with story of Buddha's life in high relief, handles are designed in shape of elephant, tea set finial in shape of an elephant rider, from 19th century period. Size; Teapot, 5 1/2 in. H and 9 in L, sugar is 3.5 in H and 6 in L, creamer is 3 1/4 in H and 4 1/2 in L. Condition consistent with age.

Pewter plate, of variety apparently used for special occasions like Purim or Passover etc., 9 3/8" diameter, and filled with incised design consisting of Hebrew characters and an eight pointed star that reminds of the "hex" symbols of American folk art . On the reverse are three "angel/justice" symbols as often seen in these plates, and some writing above that in Roman letters, difficult to decipher. In the celebrated pattern that is an American interpretation of a Japanese motif. To Baroque forms are applied a profusion of climbing, wrapping, and bunching flower heads. Chrysanthemum was introduced in 1880 and this set dates from the first quarter century of its production.

A fine antique Danish mortar in beautiful early brass alloy, dating to c. 1780.

A large brass mortar with a corrosponding pestle, very decorative and a nice antique for both display and kitchen use.

Size: Mortar is 133 mm. high and 130 mm. wide, pestle is ca. 24 cm. long and combined weight of the set is more than 3 kilograms!
