A renaissance bronze figure, Italian, Venice, and in a superb style with the stylistic hallmark of the Roccatagliata workshop, c. 16th.- early 17th. century.

The figure is made of bell metal and depicts a Cupid with spread wings holding a scroll with the portrait bust of Christ. He is standing on a stepped podium and mounted to a heavy black base.

Size: 15 cm. tall including the black stone base and 10,4 cm. for the figure alone.

A massive and exceptional early European Pewter Stein, Hamburg, Germany, dated 1776 on the front, but probably made c. 1750.

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with two flanking Lions on either side of a crest of a crowned Bulls head with crossed hatches in the mouth. The body with deeply incised text: GEORG WENCH. V. NICKEL. LEISTER.DIE.SEYN.DER.ZEIT.DIE ELTER.MEISTER. and on the other side: PETER VOLBART.V.JVST.SCHMICHING.DER.ZEIT.DIE.ALT.GESELLEN.SIND...

Pewter plate, of variety apparently used for special occasions like Purim or Passover etc., 9 3/8" diameter, and filled with incised design consisting of Hebrew characters and an eight pointed star that reminds of the "hex" symbols of American folk art . On the reverse are three "angel/justice" symbols as often seen in these plates, and some writing above that in Roman letters, difficult to decipher. I see the word "FEIN" below one of those angel figures...

Pair of Edwardian Modern sterling silver candlesticks. Made by Gorham in Providence in 1905. Ovoid with faceted upward tapering haft on raised foot. Socket tapering with detachable bobeche. Antique 18th-century European gilt-bronze figure of a seated Ottoman Turk. The figure depicts a nobleman from the Turkish Ottoman era, seated in the Turquerie or "Turkery" fashion. He is sitting on a square cushion with his legs crossed. The nobleman is wearing an exquisite ensemble of Turkish clothing, which includes a long-sleeved shirt, a vest, and loose-fitting trousers. The Ottoman sash tied around his waist adds a touch of grandeur to his attire...

A Scottish Footed Silver Bowl, probably used for Sugar. The Marks are rubbed, but it is likely Glasgow, with maker probably Alexander Gairdner c. 1777. Dimensions; 4.75" diameter x ;5" high x 3.5" diameter at foot; weight, a heavy 9.6 Troy ounces. Excellent condition.

An Early Silver Beaker, North European, Baroque period, dated 1701.

A beautiful engraved and large beaker with an extrafine decoration, consisting of vertical lines, framed with double concenthric lines on the body; with two beautifully engraved Floral medallions and another central medallion, engraved with P.F.S.S / Z.F.D.S and below the inscription with 1704. Stamped with three symethrically placed stamps in the bottom.

A wonderful French first empire tole ware monteith, the sides hand painted with bouquets of colorful flowers against ivory-colored reserves flanked by gilt grapevine designs. The sides rise to handles cast in the form of swans’ heads--a feature very rarely seen. Verrieres are typically oval in shape, but this example is round. The bowl is unusually raised on four lion’s paw brass feet...

A Magnificent Sterling Silver Footed Tazza or Compote by Theodore B. Starr in a floral openwork pattern on both the edge and base. An inscription on the base dates from 1905. German 800 silver cow creamer, ca 1910. A sweet bovine with upturned horns, flexed ears, and smiley mouth spout. Sturdy sagging body with ring-handle tail and hinged back cover with fly finial. Stands on firmly planted hooves. Unidentified Hanau marks. Very good condition.

Craftsman sterling silver porringer. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1878. Traditional form with shaped open handle. Dense allover fish-scale hammering. Very much a statement design. Victorian Classical sterling silver goblet. Made by Elkington & Co. Ltd in Birmingham in 1859. Ovoid bowl on knopped cylindrical stem flowing into raised foot. Bowl has engraved vertical scrolled frames inset with leafing scrolls surmounted by scallop shells, except one, which is vacant in place of the shell. Foot has leaf and flower garland on stippled ground. Beading. Gilt interior. Fully marked. Very good condition.
