From the Lumiere Collection by Galerie L'Enfant. Rare late 18th century English export wrought iron chamberstick with brass wedding ring design and push lever candle adjustment.
Circa English 1870, a rare faux burl walnut book slide featuring a pair of gilt brass gothic revival style mounts enclosing an oval Sevres hand painted porcelain plaque of a woman. The faux painted burl wood and is quite exceptional in detail, depth and richness of color. Note: one brad missing in a lower right corner (see 2nd photo). In very good antique condition, it measures 6.25 inches high, 5.75” deep, and 13” long. Extends up to 22.5” long.
Korean Joseon Dynasty 19th Century Polychrome Painted Wooden Oil Lamp Stand with attached original cut out Tin type gallery rim Metal top to hold the 19th Century White Porcelain Oil Pot, 7 1/2" high, 4" wide for Hexagonal shape Base, this is the Korean Shamanistic style Polychrome painted Oil Lamp. The condition is as found condition, White Porcelain top of oil pot has hairline on the side, some Polychrome paints are rubbed off and Tin Top is somewhat rusted inside the cut out gallery rim.
From the Lumiere Collection by Galerie L'Enfant. American sterling silver Adams revival design, vasiform urn chamber stick atop a reeded inverted bluebell base, standing on a circular gadrooned edge drip pan with bent leaf handle, circa 1910.
Plume & Atwood manufactured this delightful glass oil lamp c. 1870 possibly a little later. It consists of a shaped white terraced base supporting a brass stem which in turn supports the amethyst font embossed with flowers and scrolling stems. The burner assembly is brass. The lamp comes with a hurricane chimney with crimped top. The wick, I discovered late, is in the font. The lamp proper is about 11". The condition appears to be excellent though the burner has some minor warping...
