Stunning Victorian bronze picture frame, the border inset with gold velvet completely encrusted with gold thread embroidery of twining vines and flowers. The easel back is covered in gold moire silk.

Origin: probably French, ca. 1890. Condition: excellent; some staining on the back side. Size: outer--2.5"x3.25"; sight--1.5"x2.25".

Attractive and unusual Victorian inlaid wood stereographgraphoscope. When the lid is raised and a stereograph is inserted in the holder, the viewer looks through the magnifying portal for a realistic three dimensional view.

Origin: probably English, ca. 1850. Condition: very good, although there is some chipping of the veneer along the edges. Size: 5.25" x 3.25" x 1".

Outstanding American late Classical mirror framed in solid well-figured mahogany with a gilt applied composition border of bellflowers. The gilding has a particularly rich patina. The glass is old and 1/4" thick, but probably not original, and has dulled to a very nice patina. The plate is backed with a wood panel that is covered with paper. The nails holding the plate in place have been replaced.

Origin: America, probably mid-Atlantic region, ca. 1840...

Decorative Victorian wood frame with "heart and arrows" design, perfect for Valentine's Day, c. 1880. It has a lush colorful design tinted via stain. The frame measures 13" long by 8 1/2" wide. Exceptional George III bachelor’s chest in nicely figured mahogany with good color and patina, having a rectangular, cross banded top above an oak brushing slide and four graduated drawers flanked by canted, reeded corners and raised on straight bracket feet. A beautiful and elegant pair of coach or carriage lamps, with the original oil burners. The lamps are fashioned of brass and copper, and retain all the original features in superb condition, including the glass, caps, and holders. Measuring slightly over 16 inches in length, and 7 inches wide, the lamps could be used indoors or out, as is, stunning your guests with the warm oil flame. Alternatively, they could be electrified for either indoor or outdoor use.

A Mahogany Inlaid Child's or Youth's Rocker with a rush seat. Dimensions; 29 1/2" high x 19" wide x 17" deep. There is a back label that states "patented 1890", with a date of manufacture of 1902.

A set of six cast gilt brass drawer pulls from the 1900 era or slightly earlier. Each measures 3-1/8 x 3" and they retain their original screws and washers; four are slightly curved and two are flat (probably for a bottom drawer). Each has traces of the original gilding and the loops on each have a red patina while three (two curved, one flat) have traces of red on the backing plates (possibly from a painted piece)...

Rare 18th century fruit wood tea caddy in the form of a large apple, having a circular hinged lid with carved “stem” opening to a tin-lined interior; lock and escutcheon are original, hinge is replaced (repair to lid). Probably Continental, circa 1760-80.

An interesting antique silver plated pinioned-lid stamp box c1880-1890. This 2-5/8" x 1-1/2" unsigned box features a floral corner applique and two applied butterflies on the top, a pin stop and corner swinging pivot. The interior has remnants of what appears to be adhesive from some missing material and it has two cutout felt pieces; it would make a nice tiny jewel box also...

The graphic impact of this blanket box with paint decoration is absolutely stunning. It is swirl decorated in black over a yellowish-putty color, and virtually all the paint is intact. Adding to the special nature of this piece is its dainty size, measuring 31 inches long by 15 1/4 inches deep by 13 1/2 inches tall.
