Made in Rockville, Illinois, this is probably the best dining room set we've ever had. It consists of a rare zebra wood top table, two arm chairs, four side chairs, large server, small buffet and closed china cabinet with fabulous inlay. The table, which has a drawer in one end, measures 68" long x 48" wide x 32" tall. It has two 12" leaves, both with aprons, making it 92" long when fully extended. It has flowered inlay in all corners, with inlay trim around the aprons...

This burled walnut set is signed with NO under the marble, indicating that is was made in New Orleans. The bed has been professionally altered to take a queen size mattress. A very tall late nineteenth century bronze lamp base in a mixture of classical styles. It was cast in sections then joined with a steel rod running up through the hollow pieces. The flowers on the flying saucer in the middle are attached. Though it could have been made anywhere I suspect that it may have been made in France. 19 inches (48.3 cm) tall.

Condition: All there and traces of gilding. Some corrosion toward the base which wipes off with vigorous work.

An antique Japanese Cha Kobako (tea storage and serving box) made of Kirinoki (Paulownia) wood. Upper open shelf for serving dish storage. Lift-out door behind which tea, teapot and teacups were stored for serving guests. Bottom drawer was used to store serving accoutrements. Lucky carved Pine motif representing longevity on either side of the chest.

A FEDERAL BULLSEYE ROUND MIRROR FOR THE 1926 AMERICAN SESQUICENTENNIAL measuring 40” x 24” the mirror with top mounted carved eagle with a surround of thirteen stars and a convex mirror.

Persian Sarouk Ferehan rug floor covering. Inside boarder ban with deep blue tones. Soft pink pastel tones transition into an off white beige coloring around the center medallion. Made of 100% hand woven wool. Overall in beautiful original condition, ready to be enjoyed.

Sarouk village lies to the north of the town of Arak and has been known since the 12th century. It is probably the most well-known Persian carpet weaving area...
