Relics of the Nile is pleased to present this Egyptian green faience amulet of a standing deity. The figure stands erect with the traditional pose featuring the hands at the side. The back is supported by a full dorsal pillar and features a completely intact suspension hole. The figure is worn, but is likely of the standing god Horus, in falcon form. The lower portion of the figure has been lost as well, however the amulet still measures a splendid 1" in height...

A beautiful and intact torquise faience ushabti, Late Period, ca. 664 to 500 BC.

A mold-formed faience ushabti standing in mummiform with fused legs, holding implements, and with 8 rows of sharp hieroglyphs wrapping around the legs. The face presents with almond eyes, a prominent nose, and a petite chin, all beneath the lappets of the tripartite wig. Covered in beautiful torquise glaze The figure with fine surfaces and of a good style with an appealing facial expression.

The Mummyform Osiris with a false beard. Uninscribed.

An attractive Ushabti, of a female, inscribed but untranslated (by us), Third Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 943 BC.

Finely mold-formed faience female figure in green faience, with brown details. Columns of brown hieroglyphs running down the legs.

Size: 86 mm. tall.

Condition: VF, intact with imperfections and wear in part to the glaze.

An Egyptian amulet of animal headed deity in green faience, Late Period, c. 660-332 BC.

Condition: Fine, repaired through the midsection.

Provenance: Old German Collection, comes with the Original Certificate of Authenticity from a Cairo Antiquites dealer in the 1950s-1960s - the Ding Dong Bazaar, no less! In this period and up to the early 70s, it was quite legal to sell antiquities in Egypt and the cert. comes with official stamp in arabic...

An interesting and very rare Wedjat Eye amulet in the openwork design and inscribed on the back with the cartouche of Cartouche of Maatkare (Hatshepsut), New Kingdom, ca. 1479–1458 B.C.

These Eye of Ra amulets are very rarely inscribed with cartouches on the back. This particular amulet is also of special interest since it bears the name of greatest female ruler in the history of the Dynasties, Hatshepsut.

Super interesting massive amulet from an extremely old private collection, incl. the original envelope with collectors notes (late 19th.-early 20th. century).

The amulet in the shape of a double Uraeus (we think) and with an unidentified carthouche / hieroglyphs on both sides. Beautiful light torquise faiance.
