Ancient egyptian faience Shabti 6,5cm.

inscription: "Osiris; The singer of Amun, justified."

This ushabti figurine is depicted as a worker holding two hoes for work in the fields of Osiris in the afterlife.

He is wearing a tripartite wig which falls down between the shoulders.

Only the hands crossed over the chest and holding the already-mentioned agricultural implements.

A finely engraved Hyksos scarab, 17th.-16th. cent. BC.

The scarab is engraved with robe pattern in the center and with other hieroglyphs to each side, untranslated.

The seat of power of the Hyksos kings was the city of Avaris in the Nile Delta, from where they ruled over Lower Egypt and Middle Egypt up to Cusae.

Size: 19 x 13,5 mm.

Condition: Nice Very fine and completely intact with remnants of torquise glaze in the devices.

It is 3/8” long (9 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and to help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

Human-headed Ba-bird with tripartite wig and false beard, the head surmounted by a disk.
The wings lean close to the body, the feet show powerful claws. The back is flat.
Superb made with much use of the modeling tool.
The Egyptian idea of the Ba conceives a free-soul (Freiseele, Exkursionsseele) capable of independent existence from the body. It thus leaves and reunites with the body at will...

Fine Egyptian Cosmetic vessel, c. 25th.-30th. dynasty, 712-332 BC.

The vessel of slender form and beautifully polished, the vessel tapering to a rounded base and circular disc rim, probably a cosmetic vessel.

Size: 52 mm. tall.

Condition: Extremely fine.

Terracotta grotesque head with typical pejorative traits of a slave.. The bearded man shows a high, furrowed brow, bulged eyebrows, and a thick, hooked nose. The thick lower lip is contoured by a moustache.

Egyptian head of a king with tightly fitting headdress, the uraeus and the vulture partially preserved on the forehead.
Eyes and eyebrows recessed to bear inlays. Also the body of the rearing uraeus was originally inlayed.

The figure is shown nude, crouching with his legs apart on top of a square base. Pataikos holds his hands to either side of the protruding belly. A groove along the chest and abdomen to the navel.

The underside of this scarab is inscribed with a cartouche holding the name Menkheperre, the prenomen of pharaoh Thutmose III (Dynasty 18, ca. 1479-1425 B.C.) He was venerated after his death and the name of this great ruler continued to appear on stamp seals long after his reign, even into the Late Period (ca. 664-525 B.C.).
