Ancient Egyptian Blue Faience Amulet Lion-Goddess Sekhmet 1200-300 BC Authentic ancient Egyptian ca. 1200-300 B.C blue glaze faience amulet of Sekhmet, the lion-goddess, standing in a long gown with a necklace draping down her chest, hands at her side. She wears on her head the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt.

She was both a fierce lioness and the goddess of medicine connected with the soothing of illness and warding off trouble in general...

Serpentine Horus falcon, with defined wings, beak and tail feathers. Late Period, 600-30 B.C. 1 1/4 inches high X 1 1/8 inches long. Intact. From an old French collection.

This is a copper alloy dagger or short sword. It has an interesting patina consisting primarily of light to medium green tones (likely malachite) mottled with red and reddish brown areas (likely copper oxides). There are areas where the deep brown, lightly corroded base metal is still visible and somewhat lustrous. The entire hilt, including the crescent-shaped pommel, is bordered by a thick and even ridge which would have served to contain the grip scales made of bone, wood, or ivory...

Large pale green Djed pillar amulet with high shaft and four horizontal bars. Delicate ropes delineated around the shaft immediately below the lowest bar.
The narrow column on the back is not pierced.
The Djed pillar amulet was connoted with stability and endurance and supposed to confer these qualities to the deceased.

Amazing massive ushabti of the finest style of the Late period, Egypt, 26th - 30th Dynasty, approx. 664 - 332 BC.

Shown mummiform, this exceptional large and beautiful Ushabti, still untranslated, probably represents an important nobleman. As quite rarely seen, the othervise greenish faience, came out as almost black in the kiln, so it looks almost like basalt, very attractive!

Rare funerary cone with three registers of sunk hieroglyphs reading: (1) The Bearer of the brazier (2) of the temple of Amun, (3) Nekhy.
This cone and a second one held in a Japanese collection are the only known examples of the type, which is enumerated as 650/B.23 by Zenihiro.

An ancient Egyptian alabaster torso of a striding man. Wearing a kilt and with arms depicted on each side. 5.5 inches high. Late Period, 600-30 B.C. Purchased on the Paris art market. Said to be originally purchased a long time ago at the Paris flea market.

A very rare and interesting large fragment of a sculptural torquise blue faience vessel with moulded decoration, Egypt, probably Amarna period, 14th. century BC.

The fragment represent up to 40% of what was once a hemispheric low bowl with pseudo handles and black and torquise glaze. Moulded decoration of large snake and the tail of another which would have adorned the other side.

This barrel-shaped ‘Fustat bead’ is made of six sections of spiral mosaic cane laid next to each other longitudinally in alternating directions, creating a zigzag effect. This is a nice piece. It's a large, weathered limestone button scarab which dates to the Late Period in Egyptian history (circa 600 B.C.). Measures: 1.2" in length. Condition: Intact with obvious water abrasion to the surface. Provenance provided to purchaser.

Deep blue glazed faience shabti for Nesy-per-nub, one of the important priests in the second Cache of Deir El Bahri. His shabtis display text variants that refer to his various titles.
The two columns of hieroglyphic text read: (1) O shabti, say: I will irrigate [the riparian lands] (2) for the Osiris, the ‘Scribe of the temple of Mut’, Nesy-per-nub, justified.
The hieroglyph for the goddess Mut is cursorily rendered. Strangely enough, the craftsman forgot the hieroglyph/phone...
