A lovely set of three superbly patinated bronze objects, Greece, Geomethric Period, ca. 8th Century BC.

The set consists of a votive vessel of globular form with handles of the Geomethric form and two charming large attachment bronzes or hangers of double discus shape.

Size: The vessel is 38 mm. in diameter, the hangers ca. 35 mm and 32 mm. respectively. All heavy duty pieces so the combined weight is ca. 105 grams...

A highly attractive Campanian black-glazed dish with impressed floral design at the center. The piece with a finely preserved glaze and slight iridescence.

Amphora handle with the name of the annual official Pausanias written around the Rhodian rose emblem.
The stamped text reads: ΕΠΙ ΠΑΥΣΑΑΝΙΑ ΣΜΙΝΘΙΟΥ – in the term of Pausanias, in the month Sminthios (March-April).
Three eponyms with the name Pausanias are known from Rhodian amphoras...

Late Corinthian kylix decorated on both sides with geese flanked by griffin-birds. The geese turn their heads back. The griffins show crested heads, sickle-shaped wings and protruding tail feathers.
Black-glaze design on buff ground, incised details, red color on the wings and for some dots applied on the necks.
The kylix belongs to the Workshop of the Bird-Frieze Painter...

Rare yellow-slipped patera with sculptural handle in the shape of a naked youth with arms upraised as if to support the shallow bowl upon his head.

Rare pouring vessel in the form of a sphinx shown recumbent on a raised base.
The fantastic creature shows a beautiful female head with chubby facial features. The curly hair is entwined with ivy leaves.
The imposing lion body with powerful clawed paws and short wings attached to the sides. The cord around the neck is knotted between the breasts.
The figure is conceived as a pouring vessel. Next to the wing and the rear handle is a raised ridge with a sieve-like inlet...

The head of Dionysos with almond-shaped eyes, a strong nose and a small mouth with pursed lips.
The broad beard with fine wavy strands. Undulated, slender moustache. The hairdo with strands of hair that end in curls, without the hair band above. Traces of red (carmine) pigment on the forehead and the beard.
Fine archaic style, excellent modeling. Mounted on an acrylic stand.

An extremely rare and important Etruscan offer bowl (omphalos), made in thick terracotta glazed pottery, 400-300 BC.

This shallow terracotta bowl is moulded after bronze vessels and has a dome-like omphalos emerging from its interior. Around the omphalos are deep relief decorations. Very rare in terracotta.

The exterior is finely glazed and the bowl has two holes for hanging, typical for the Etruscan ware.

A lovely greek pottery head of a female godess, likely Aphrodites, with intact neck and all detals preserved, Hellenistic period, 3rd.-2nd. century BC.

These heads was likely ritually broken in some cases and are not rare on the market, but this head are of much better quality and style than most heads for sale.

The panels with extraordinary depictions of a gender-based division of labor.
The hunting scene shows a naked man with a spear grasping at a bird hidden behind a large ivy leaf which may represent the forest grove.
On the other side a woman with diminutive head and outstretched arms. Assuming that plants are denoted by contouring dots, she is standing next to three trees in her garden.
Figural depictions on this type of pottery are rare...

Native Apulian jug of globular body with tapering neck, everted rim and strap handle. The body, the neck and the outside of the base with circumferential bands of brown glaze. Top of the rim and outside of the handle also glazed. Standing on a flat disk base.

Archaic satyr with protruding almond-shaped eyes, enormous snub nose, and full lips with slight archaic smile.
The prominent forehead with a receding hairline and animal ears. The smooth beard with a tiny mustache.
The satyr carries a krater whose volute handle and rim appear close to the left ear. The rim of the vessel is partially missing, as is the second handle.
The pectoral muscle is clearly visible, including the preserved right hand.

Interesting figure of a kneeling man with black African features. The naked man leans forward a little and looks thoughtful. He shows a furrowed brow, receding hairline and puffed up hair.
Nice anatomic detail of the upper body. Right arm missing, a garment covers the partially preserved left.
