An attractive and substantial cylinder seal carved in blakc Haematite, Isin-Larsa period, Old Babylonian, ca. 2000 - 1800 BC.

The seal is carved with an introduction of the king to standing sun god with saw. Another worshipper or lesser deity is also depicted and there's and interesting large emblematic staff between them.

Height: 2.3cm, diameter: 1.1cm.

Drill style carving in high relief, very precise and still difficult to sort out, probably an animal but we're not certain. Also see mr. Oberlánders drawing of this motif.

A banded agate stone seal, polished to a perfect oval scaraboid shape with a slightly pointed center, Neo-Babylonian, c. 8th-6th. century BC.

The stone with particularly nice patterns of multi-layered bands. On the base it's carved with a worshipping priest standing before the alter of the principal deity Marduk.
