This is an extremely rare Carthaginian glass head pendant, circa 5th-4th century B.C. It is 1 1/2 inches long. This is a Mediterranean core-formed glass bead. A massive high quality unguentaria bottle made of clear glass with a blue-green tones. Roman, Eastern Mediterranean, 2nd - 3rd century AD.

The bottle of impressive height and very solidly constructed, sound glass.

Size: c. 16,8 cm. tall.

Condition: Extremely fine, unusually solid and sound green glass vessel with beautiful mild irridescence and deposits.

Provenance: Estate of Hartmut Geerken, Germany, aquired 1961-1964!

A very rare and attractive glass flask or vase, decorated with sea animals, Roman Empire, 1st.-3rd. century AD.

The flask with fine decorative impressions of sea animals - an octopus and a wonderfully detailed firsh on the surface. The neck is straight and undecorated and with a flat ring as a lip atop. Light blue-green glass.

Size: 11,2 cm. tall.

Condition: Choice for type - a hairline repair where the neck meets the body.

A fine group of ancient pottery oil lamps, Later Roman to Byzantine periods, ca. 3rd.-6th. century AD.

Group consists of a 86 mm. long Roman lamp, 2nd.-3rd. cent. AD, a small round terracotta type, quite rare, 70 mm. long, likely Early Roman (?) and a larger Holyland type, Palestine ca. 6th. century AD. with ribbed corpus (damage to mouth), 95 mm.

A nice lot for one price!
