This is a beautiful, authentic Roman period single pendant earring made with solid gold. It dates from the 1st-3rd century AD. The pendant part is decorated with a green glass bead, a finely-crafted filigree gold tubular bead, and a lovely little pearl that still has most of its lustre nearly two thousand years after it left the sea...
An authentic and ancient fine handled ROMAN Glass Bottle, excavated in Syria, ca. 3rd-5th Century A.D. Surface etched, muddy, iron stained with an open pontil base. Most likely used for Perfume or Precious Oils. Condition: intact, no damage. Size: 3.75" H. ( ca. 9.5 cm.) Provenance: From an antiquity dealer's estate. A delicate and very fine collector's piece.
Bronze ring dating from 8-6th century BC made in Northern Italy by Villanovian culture named from a typical settlement discovered in 1853 at Villanova, near Bologna. Wonderful artifact with rich green patina, in excellent shape for a 2700 year old object. The piece comes from the Koutalakis collection. Can actually be worn as ring - the inner diameter is 15.5 mm, which corresponds to ring size 4.
Fine Imperial Roman Marble Modillion or Corbel with Acanthus leaf , very rare and well carved with its bound papyrus buds and delicate acanthus tendrils and flowers. This piece dates to the 1-2nd c AD and has a wrought iron attachment at the back and a slightly tapered end to compensate for its attachment to the front pediment of a building to compensate for the visual angle of the pediment , in the pictures listed is one of the front of Romes Pantheon's pediment with near identical modillions...
