This charming hollow cast bronze bust depicts Bacchus (The god of the grape harvest, winemaking and wine) Bacchus (known to the Greeks as Dionysus) was the god of the vine, of wine and mystic ecstasy.

Wrapped with a mantle tied over her left shoulder. A wreath composed of vine leaves with clusters of grapes crowns her head...

Gandhara stone panel with the Buddha and an attendant in the lower frame. The partially preserved Buddha is seated on a pedestal in the dhyana mudhra gesture. He is dressed in Gandharan style and showing a wavy hairstyle topped with the raised ushnisha.

A very fine specimen of the earliest metal daggers known, BMAC / Indus, Chalcolithic period, 4th.-3rd. millenium BC.

Interesting and collectable dagger! Flat, leafshaped blade and a very long, twisted tang.

This is an absolutely amazing bronze sword from the Dong Son culture in ancient Southeast Asia. Pieces of this type are rarely discovered intact. It is very long (81.5 cm) and though it is thin and fragile it appears to be intact with no obvious signs of repair. It dates to roughly 300 BC. This is a marvelous opportunity to own a truly stunning antiquity.

A very impressive and decorative bronze lance with a long, bent tang, and a broad, leaf-shaped blade with highly profiled midrib.

A beautiful lance that would have been highly efficient on combat.

A lovely extra large stamp seal Bifacial figural type in black steatite or chlorite, c. 4th. millenium BC.

The seal was reportedly found at 'Amúg Ebene' in ancient North-Western Mesopotamia, present day Turkey, close to the ancient city of Antioch.

The seal is disc-shaped and carved with a fierce predator, probably a Lion, on one side and with a Deer standing by a stylized tree and pierced from above with a long spear.

Size: 37 mm. wide and 7 mm...

Of a fine early Roman style, c. 1st. century AD and with inspiration from archaic art. Light red clay with a beige overlay. die-formed. Standing Aphrodite with her cloak wrapped around her legs and holding a shell in each hand. Provincial?! Head, one foot and large parts of the shells are missing.

Height: 16 cm.

This extremely rare frame of bone is from the 1st century through Byzantine. The Roman goddess has independent movable balls in the cage and is extremely delicate and very fine. It was purchased in Luxembourg. Many were found by the world famous Dr. Allen Heflin while he was stationed in Rome. This is a once-in-a-lifetime find that took me many years to assemble. Interesting seal carved in a fine green stone, Western Mesopotamia, probably 3th. millenium BC.

The hard stone seal is carefully carved with a symethric abstract decoration in the style of Jemdet Nasr or slightly later.

Lovely engravings of a horned bull attacked by a Lion on one side and on the other side, an impressive winged Goat, with small bearded human head above.

Interesting larger stone head carved in Vulcanic stone on the Iberian peninsular, Iberian-Roman or Celt-Iberian manifacture, around 3rd. cent. BC-1st. cent. AD.

From a collection of an artist and once bought at a London dealer for ca. $8000. The head depicts a bearded older man, perhaps a leader or even a god. Typical celt-Iberian features, but also inspired by grecco-roman art.
