This is a collection of bronze (and some bone) arrow points from ancient China. Most of the bronze points will date to either the Warring States or Han periods (475 BC - 220 AD). The bone points are possibly as old as neolithic (pre 1700 BC). There were too many of these to list individually so I posted the entire collection. Email for specific prices. This is an ancient Egyptian Scarab, c. 1250 BC, from the famous Mitry collection (see our Homepage). It is 1/2” long (13 mm) and made of steatite, an easy-to-carve stone that hardens when heated. Scarabs empowered life and resurrection and were often placed under mummy wrappings to protect the body and help it resurrect. This Scarab comes in a jewelry display cup.

A superb quality Islamic dish, Seljuq period 12th century A.D. (494 AH – 597 AH). Ancient near East.

In wonderful green-blue glaze, the center decorated with a carved flower in the typical style of the Seljuqs.

Condition: Superb, with fine crackled glaze, intact.

A large and beautiful Scandinavian style bronze shield or tortoise brooch or Fibula decorated with intertwinned dragons, c. 8th.-9th. century AD.

An attractive and scarce oval stamp seal carved with an animal inside a border and symbols, Early Hittite, 2nd. mill. BC.

A thick cylinder seal of greyish stone showing a worshipper introduced to a seated god by a Demigod, probably another godess in the field but weak. Ur III Period, 3rd millennium BC.

Condition: Near VF, intact but with some wear and embedded earthern encrustations. Never the less quite attractive in hand.

Authentic Ancient Holy Land. The Age of the Patriarch Abraham circa. 2000 B.C. Terracotta Oil lamp with four pinched sides to use for 4 wicks. Each spout would have held a wick which, soaked in combustible would have been lit to provide the brighter light in the house.

Interesting and scarce bronze dagger from Greater Persia, c. 3rd. millenium BC.

Among the earliest types of bronze daggers, probably dating deep in the 3rd. millenium BC. No hole for the rivet and with a slightly raised midsection. The upper part of both sides of the blade finely engraved with a heering pattern!

This excellent 19th century WKC (Weyersburg, Kirschbaum & Company, Solingen, Germany) Imperial Hunting Cutlass is 22 inches in length. The mounts are composed of beautiful brass throughout the hilt and scabbard. The pommel area has a fluted nut at the top center of the cap which acts as a threaded tang nut. Salmon-colored "Plastic" head of a feline, with defined eyes, alert ears, whiskers and feline expression. Vent hole on back. 2 5/8 inches high. 6th Century BC. This is a very high quality casting, depicting Silenus, dating to the 1st-3rd century AD. A substantial casting with very fine detailing and hand-chasing. The handle measures just under 5-1/2" in height and is 3" at its widest. This would most likely have been the handle to an important vessel used during Bacchic (Dionysiac) revels. This is a heavy, substantial piece of very high quality.

A scarce very early and substantial stamp seal from the Pre-/early Halaf period of Western Mesopotamia c. 6th. mill. BC.
