A "Gu"-shaped bronze vase, late Yuan / early Ming, 14th. century. The upper section with leaf shaped panels. The lower sections with "Kui"-dragons, all on geometric grounds. Nice casting, very nice patina. H : 15,4 cm. GU : A GU is a form of Chinese ritual bronze vessel from the Shang and Zhou dynasties, used to drink wine or offer ritual libations. A GU is tall and slender with a flared base, a slim center section and a trumpet-shaped mouth that is wider than the base...

This type of necklace with a pendant in the shape of a lock was given to Chinese children, so they would be ‘locked’ to life. 1. Large silver pendant decorated in enamel with two hares. Ancient censer, of circular shape, resting on three feet, decorated on all sides with dragons in relief "chasing the pearl" and, on two sides, with dragon heads. Bronze, fine green patina. Reign mark beneath, probably apocryphal (Ming Dynasty, Xuande reign). China, early 19th century. Height: 3 1/4" (8,5 cm). Diameter: 5 4/8" (14,5 cm). Very good condition.

Eight petal Chinese Tang dynasty (618-907) foliate form bronze mirror with central pierced knob and four relief characters reading “long life, riches, and honor” (chang ming fu gui). 7 1/4” diameter. Good condition overall with typical wear and extensive patina. From the estate of Gerhard Lohmeier, a Diplomat at the German Embassy in Beijing from 1985 to 1989.

A bronze vase of compressed bottle form in archaistic style with elongated handles. Bands and panels of Taoitie motifs and lozenge diaper liewen brocade. See Bonhams 2016 lot 470 Asian Art Knightsbridge London for a near identical vase there attributed to the Ming dynasty. The vase is 21.8cm high, the base 9.8cm wide. Some casting flaws to the neck and possible patching at the time of production. A loose plate to the interior of the footring. Good patina...

Extremely nice Chinese silverwork artefact. A so called lock pendant. My field is porcelain and unfortunately I am not so familiar with silverwork. Although I am confident, that it is Quing dynasy, this extremely nice work looks a littlebit like it would be a Yuan Dynasty piece. Excavated at Sangihe Island north Sulawesi Indonesia. Old Incense burner of circular shape resting on three feet, decorated on all sides with dragons in relief. The two handles are in the shape of agressive dragons. Bronze, with green patina in the recesses. Reign mark beneath, probably apocryphal (Ming Dynasty, Xuande reign). China, 19th century. Height: 3 3/8" (8,7 cm). Diameter: 5 7/8" (15 cm). Very good condition.

Antique Chinese bronze hanging bell with beautiful casting and patina. It hangs by a hook shaped as a two-headed serpent, and its sides are decorated with phoenixes (fenghuang in Chinese, ho-o in Japanese) flying with their head downwards and their long, beautiful tail feathers floating up and over their bodies. The phoenix is a bird of the Sun, so a small Sun adorns two sides of the bell, along with curling motif running along the bottom. Size: 6.5" height, 4.75" width

A rare small solid bronze figure of a lion, of asymmetric form and with with unusual chased and punched surface decoration. It is attached with a single rivet to a contemporary base and is movable by about 30 degrees...

Opium box of rounded rectangular shape, decorated with an embossed design all over its body representing a noble man in front of a house in the company of two women, a floral decor, Chinese characters and a geometric design. The lid itself is decorated with an embossed feminine figure (a dancer) surmounted by a bat. The box is made of copper with a fine age patina. China, end of 19th century. Height: 5.6 cm. Very good condition.

A "宣" seal mark on the bottoms. Size: 12 cm high, 12 cm long, 4 cm wide. Condition: Excellent.

Shaped as a pile of coins, the lid made of a real silver coin. Hallmarked at the bottom. H. 24 mm, D. 18 mm. (1 x 0,75 inch)

Silver alloy opium box, lavishly decorated on all its sides with relief designs representing a nobleman with his servant in a park, flowers, birds (on the lid), and two inscriptions. Partly erased artist mark beneath. China, 19th century. Height: 6.2 cm. Very good condition.

Carriage bell of globular shape with a loop on top for attachment. Gilt bronze, with encrusted green and blue (malachite) patina. China, Han Dynasty Period (206 BC-220 AD). Height: 3 1/8" (8 cm). The bell is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accident, otherwise good condition.
