A superb quality matching pair of large pottery figures a female attendants, dating to Ming Dynasty, 1400-1500 AD.

The figures are placed on high hexagonal plints and wear a fine two-colour blue and turquoise glazed robe. The unglazed areas have pigmented colors in red, black and white. Finely painted facial details.

The heads are attachable, as often seen on the largest figures from this period.

He is dressed in a robe and wears a hat, sitting as if the horse has just being brought to a halt. wiht a determined expression on his face.
