This is a fine Famille Rose Figural Molded Porcelain Snuff Bottle, of flattened ovoid form, with a waisted neck, a flat gilded lip, and an oval concave foot. The body of the bottle crisply molded with bright colors a scene of the Nine Buddhist Lions at play amid clouds. The neck decorated with a leiwen border. There is a Qianlong Period (1,711 - 1,799) seal script Mark in iron red letters to the base. It comes with a red coral stopper...

The base is marked with a double circle and 4 Chinese Characters of the Period. The neck of the snuff bottle has special pattern décor markings. Circa 1870s hand carved and highly polished rock crystal and purple amethyst snuff bottle. Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen). In excellent condition, the bottle measures 2 7/8" high and 1 3/4" wide.
