The translucent stone has an abstract mottled pattern of brown ground and white macaroni bursts and strands that go in different directions and that are different on all sides of the bottle...

This is a fine, well-hallowed, Aventurine Glass Snuff Bottle of robust circular rounded form, with a high rounded neck, a flat wide lip, and a raised oval flat foot. The slightly translucent stone is made up of thousands of clustered gold and bronze colored sand-like particles within a brown colored ground. It comes with a green jade stopper with spoon.

Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen).
