A nice piece of qingpai bowl shard. It has a high foot rim with recess base and a U-shaped body with an everted mouth rim. The body is lightly incised with slanted lines. A character, which is not very clear is painted in the centre of the foot rim.

A chinese Northern Song Dynasty era jarlet in celadon crackle yue glaze in good condotion

Quirky Cizhou type, heavy, completely black glazed, waisted beaker from circa Ming Dynasty. Possibly this was used in a Chinese Apothecary, but this is just a best guess to its function. The hole on the bottom was made prior to firing and is part of the original design. Lovely thick glaze and aside from a couple of chips on the outside of the foot, in very good condition. H: 13cm/5.1in- width at base : 8.7cm/3.8in and width at mouthrim : 11cm/4.3in.

A Chinese, Longquan kiln, celadon jar with incised geometrical decoration; Ming dynasty, C16th. Although rare in this small size, this jar has not been reduced, as there are traces of glaze on the mouth rim. Originally, it would have had a cover. Chinese Foo Dog Green glazed Stone ware Pottery Joss Stick Holder, 9 1/2" high, 3" wide, 4 1/8" deep, Hole in the backside of the head for holder for Joss Stick, the condition is good with some small loose green glaze which is very typical for this type of stoneware items.

Chinese stoneware jar with two loop handles, high neck with small, rolled rim, and flat bottom. The jar is amber glazed only at the upper shoulder with a few drips extending down onto the body. This vessel is likely an example of Guangdong ware produced in Fujian province. 7” diameter x 6 1/4" high. Probably dates from the Southern Song to Yuan (12th to 14th century). Very good overall condition. From the collection of a former American expatriate to Guangdong province in 1983-2984.

This is an Chinese Yue green glaze celadon container powder box (currently used for agarwood chip for burning) it is from Five Dynasties to Northern Sung Dynasty era. Good Cizhou type high fired, well balanced, ovoid soy glazed with russet highlights jar from a northern kiln, circa- Five Dynasties to Northern Song. There is a possible chip on the outer mouthrim (see enlargement)- difficult to tell if this happened after firing or before. There are remnants of kiln supports on the concave foot. H: 9.6cm/3.8in and D: 10.3cm/4in.

Northern Song vitreous glazed over white slip Cizhou jar. Nice ivory toned piece emulating Ding ware. There is a simple repair on one side of the body which is pointed out in photos and chip on mouth rim. Dimensions: 13cm/2.9in width and 9.5cm/3.7in height. This from a Northern Kiln most likely Henan, or Shanxi.

Lovely small meiping from Northern China, circa 1000CE- possibly Liao.. I have repaired it with epoxy and 23k gold leaf (wabi sabi kintsugi). This is a high fired gray stoneware dipped in a white slip and then fired with translucent overglaze. Condition as is, attractive wood stand included. :11.8cm/4.7cm and D: 7.2cm/2.9in.

17th century small Chinese white stoneware jar with underglaze blue painting. The jar comes from an old Japanese collection, this type of stoneware is known as Swatow ware, but more correctly named as Zhangzhou ware from Fujian province. Beautiful glaze with fine crackle, central register with excellent free painting of blooming flowers in reserves with stylized waves in between. Pendant leaves around its mouth, old Japanese lacquer repair to the mouth. Very strong piece, has wonderful presence...
