The lot consists of a lovely early Chinese boxwood seal, carved with 'Shu zongfu', a matching pair of Lions with fine old patina and a silver pencil set.

Antique 19th century Chinese Qing dynasty Smoking Pipe including bamboo stem extended to the bulbous bowl, enclosed with finely shaped low grade silver alloy panels with copper inlaid chamber and fitted with nicely formed pewter mouthpiece.

19th century Chinese 3 tier fitted mahogany box, heavily carved with patterns and coin motif. Brass corners on each tier. Two corners are missing. Good condition. H: 9 ½ inches, W: 13 ½ inches, D: 7 inches

This is a rare late Ming dynasty (1368~1615) carved bamboo statue. It depicts a bearded warrior on a horse. The rider¡¯s head is raised up, eyes wide open; his left arm is gently holding the bridle. The tired horse has turned its head toward its master. It is a superb carving and in great condition despite its age. H: 12 inches, L: 7 inches, W: 6 inches

This mid or late 19th century Chinese carved root sculpture is 25 inches tall (with base), 11 inches wide and 3 ½ inches deep. One side carved as a maple tree and rock, the other side retains the natural form of the roots. The fitted hard wood base depicts a pine tree surrounded with rocks. There have been a few minor repairs. It is in excellent condition.

The two Chinese bamboo root carvings are about 12 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 4 inches thick. They came as a pair but can be displayed separately. They were carved in the late 19th century. Both depict wild geese. Their heads are turned toward a lotus and some unknown plants are behind them. The taller of the two is a little darker. Beside some small cracks and chips they are in fairly good condition.

This 17th century carved polychrome wood head of Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) is 15 inches tall, 7 inches wide and 7 inches in depth. The solid teak wood base is 3 ¼ inches high, 9 inches wide and 8 ¾ inches in depth. This statue was part of the collection of a professor who spent over 20 years in China. Some of the color has come off and there is a long crack on the back of her head due to the age of this statue.
