This is a very rare and wonderful Japanese Cloisonne box. There are a wide variety of enamel colors and designs making this a very unique piece. The designs, mottled and translucent enamel colors strongly suggest that Honda is the artist. The rims are also Bronze and appear to have never been silver plated. Condition is excellent. There is minor scuffing to the bottom corners. The box measures 5 1/4 inches by 4 1/4 inches and is 2 1/4 tall

It is 3.85 inches (9.8 cm) tall measured with stand and 2.6 inches (6.7 cm) tall measured without stand by 3.9 inches (10 cm) wide and 5.3 inches (13.4 cm) in length. It is 1.8 Lb.

Fine Japanese akasuke / pigeon blood cloisonné vase with marked silver rims; very good condition

A Japanese "arrow toss" game vase made of copper and decorated with polychrome enamels, the rims and wires are gilt. Showing antiques and auspicious symbols on a white ground, the base with "fuku" mark. The "arrow-toss" game originated from China and was at the beginning very popular with the aristocrats and survived as a pastime well into the Edo period. From an old Swiss private collection. This is a fine cloisonne enamel vase from the Meiji Period. Though more simplistic than many of his pieces, We believe this was vase made by Hayashi. I There are plenty of image and viewer can make up their own mind. The birds are well done and each is designed with gold wires. The difficult scroll under the top rim is also similar to Hayashi's work. The vase stands 6 inches tall and condition is excellent.

This is an amazing small cloisonne vase. It is only 5 inches tall but has as much fine work as a great 12 inch vase. The rims are silver. It is not signed but the enamel colors and wire designs in the flowers appear to be the work Hayashi. Condition is excellent.

A silver wired rooster, hen and chick on an olive green ground decorate this signed 7.25" vase. Rims are silvered, the bottom is black enamel.

This is a fine 12 inch Japanese Cloisonne vase done with the very popular draping wisteria pattern. The enamel and wire silver wire work in the wisteria decorations are of a high standard. From the scroll work it appears to be an early Ando, Ito or Kinuken piece. The form is unusual and the piece is better than the images show. Condition is excellent.
