A very traditional pair of diamond and pearl earrings from the 1960’s is set in 14Kt yellow gold with a European leaver backs. These earrings can be worn dressy for occasions or sporty with jeans or basically all the time. The well matched high luster cultured pearls measure 6.8 millimeters and the approximate total weight of the two full cut diamonds is 0.10Ct.

I am fascinated by the beauty and craftsmanship of early 20th c. Chinese jewelry - their repousse is outstanding, the detail and complexity of the figural pieces difficult to put to words and the window they open onto a culture so distant and enchanting literally invaluable. The scene that covers the face of all 7 curved links in this bracelet constitutes a proud statement of wealth, accomplishment and family pride...

Fabulous and big vintage modernist 14KT gold ring with a huge roughly triangular sky blue turquoise stone. 1970's. Not marked but tests positive for 14KT gold using jeweler's acid. The setting is very ornate and heavy with a deep decorative border. The stone has a beautiful chocolate brown matrix. I believe the turquoise is Chinese. The photos do not capture the beautiful color of the stone -- it is much richer than the photos show. It weighs 7 grams. The stone is 13 mm long by 12 mm wide...

Beautifully rendered emulations of Margot de Taxco's koi fish earrings, this pair is signed by a maker who is known among collectors of vintage Mexican jewelry for his prowess in the art of repoussage and the high quality of his work. I think the point I am trying to make is amply illustrated by the bold repousse, the dark oxidation in the recesses of the design and the care that went into the finishing touches...

Stunning to look at and unbelievably gorgeous and comfortable when you have it on the vintage Deco Mexican silver necklace presented here lies like a dream around the neck. I know this specific design can be found bearing a really big signature - I want to say that it's an Aguilar creation but I just can't remember...

I believe lovers of Margot de Taxco's jewelry will easily recognize the links in this necklace as being from among the Grande Dame's more romantic repousse creations. Yet the way they have been combined in this necklace and set with older hand-painted blue glass stones (late Victorian or Edwardian, I believe) is quite unusual. Margot is known to have created unique pieces by incorporating older or "exotic" elements in otherwise known designs and I think we are dealing with such a case here...

The second Margot de Taxco zodiac piece currently in my inventory, this Libra pendant has all the qualities of her astrological series; visual interest, sculpturality and a design so successful that it immediately relates to the sign it represents. I have paired it with a hand-wrought Mexican chain of the same period so you can wear it as a necklace or alternatively, enjoy it as a charm with your vintage charm bracelet...

A great example of fine enamel work of the second half of the 19th century is represented in this beautiful oval broach, depicting a mountain lake scene with a castle and a sail boat. The frame is continental (800) silver with Austrian hallmark and maker's mark "KJ". The condition of the enamel is nearly perfect except for some slight hair-line cracks in the front and as well as in the back which is white enamel. The pin measures 1 7/8" in length and 1 1/2" in width.

Vintage Deco Chinese silver filigree bracelet having a vermeil finish and adorned with what seems to have been a late 19th c. carved jade button showing the figure of a bat or butterfly (?). Measuring 7 1/8" long (wearable) the bracelet has a width that varies between 1" at the center front and 7/17" at its narrowest...

Gorgeous vintage sterling silver hinged bracelet, I believe this to be a late Art Nouveau example if not a nature-inspired piece of the 1940s. Some times it is difficult to say with jewelry that is not signed since styles held on after the "official" end of an era and techniques remained constant as well. This is obviously a hand-made bracelet and it consists of two "wings" replete with scroll and foliate repousse motifs...

Gorgeous Ella Cone sterling silver and lapis lazuli necklace, this is a piece that retains American Arts and Crafts influences and has the quality and design originality that characterize Cone's best pieces. I love the richness of the dark blue in the stones in juxtaposition to the warm glow of well-aged, well-loved silver. The necklace has a wearable length of 14 5/8" (actual length - always measuring the shortest strand - is 15 1/4" but I am leaving some allowance so you can clasp it)...
