Rare, outstanding modernist sterling silver and amethyst bracelet designed and signed (c.1950's) by Taxco, Mexico artist Antonio Pineda. Bracelet measures 1 inch wide and 6 1/2 inches of wearable length. The design is comprised of 8 concave hinged links each mounted with a rounded column of amethyst quartz. A very light and subtle vermeil wash is used to accent the lines of the silver and showcase the stones...

An English late Victorian mother of pearl handle fish set for six in fitted case 1890 1900. This set includes six 6-1/2" fish forks and six 7-3/8" scimitar-shaped fish knives. Each piece has a sterling silver patterned ferrule with silver plated blades and colourful genuine mother-of-pearl handles. The purple satin and velvet interior of the box has fitted compartments with locking brass fittings...

A superbly rendered and atmospheric lifetime woodblock print by the famed Japanese artist Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled "Ikegami Honmonji Temple" (Honmonji Temple in Snow). First published in 1931, this is an artist's lifetime strike from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. This print is Oban size (14-1/4" x 9-1/2" image size, 19-3/4" x 14-1/4" frame size). It has the 6 mm. red lifetime seal of the publisher Watanabe Shozaburo (seal used from 1946-57)...

An excellent example of the Los Ballesteros taller's work combining silver with simulated synthetic alexandrite, this is a hinged "dimpled dot" bracelet holding two huge faceted gems in big crown settings. The stones are open-backed and they change color under different light conditions going from a deep clear amethyst to a steely purple. The bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 3/4" and its width varies between 2" in the front and 5/8" in the back...

A rather rare, early Cecilia bracelet in the style of Matilde Poulat with a large central curved panel featuring repousse doves above a stylized basket with flowers. Jewel-encrusted with channel set turquoise cabs and corals in bezels it also has a lozenge amethyst between the two birds...

Japanese plique-a-jour cloisonne enamel vase densely decorated with a bouquet of flowers set against a celadon green background. Chrome rims. Dates from the Occupation period (1945-1960). Measures about 3 3/4"H x 3" diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a faint interior stress crack at the shoulder that cannot be felt (see enlargements 6 and 7). The neck is very slightly tilted.
