Delish One of a Kind Necklace Set Marked: MIMI DEE 925 in Sage Green Jasper, Amethyst and Citrine with paper clip chain which is 17" from 925 clasp to jump ring and a 3" drop. A serving tray made of Kozai (Jap. old material) from Todaiji Temple in Nara branded with the marks of the 7 great temples of Nara and enclosed in the original wooden storage box dated 1925. It is turned from keyaki, a hardwood in the elm family famed for durability and beautiful wood grain. Sculptural wave and beaded sterling silver bracelet designed c. 1950-60's by modernist Taxco, Mexico designer Antonio Pineda(1919-2009). This carved wooden dragon head and RuYi symbol is from an old Buddhist temple monastery in Inner Mongolia, a region that is now part of China. This piece was probably used to stablize joint between a support post and a rafter beam. Hand carved from teak wood, both sides have the same dragon head at one end and the ruyi form at other end which images as the dragons tail.

The carving is 32 inches long, 3 inches thick and is 9 inches high...

This African head rest is carved on the side supports with endless knot configuration. Additional carved detail is on the underside of the curved neckrest area. From Somali, the headrest has wonderful sculpture quality and is a good ethnographic tribal piece for display. Small crack in base goes less than 1/4 inch into wood...

A large white bronze Koro by Tsuda Eiju exhibited at the 14th Nitten in 1982. It is published in the catalog for that year, and comes with the Nitten card upon which it is pictured. The creature is 45 cm (18 inches) tall, 30 cm (12 inches) wide and in excellent condition. Tsuda Eiju (1915-2001) studied under Tsuda Shinobu (1875-1946) eventually becoming his heir. He was accepted into and awarded at the Nitten National Exhibition many times including the Hokutosho prize.
