Rare Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Painted Pottery Winnowing Figure

This very rare pottery figure was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a buff-coloured pottery that has been "cold painted" in a creamy-white pigment. The kneeling figure is in the act of winnowing. Note the detail of the figure's face and the way in which the long sleeves from his robe are tied behind his back.

An 18k yellow gold heart pendant on a 10k rope twist chain bracelet from the 1970s. This 7/16 x 1/4" hollow heart (sans bale) is stamped 750 and the 7-1/4" chain has a springring clasp and it is stamped 10K SO. This bracelet weighs 0.9 grams and it is in excellent condition with no monograms, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs...

Qingbai ewer with beautiful moulded floral decoration; bluish white glaze stopping above the base which is concave and unglazed. Yuan Dynasty 13th-14th Centuries. Height = 12 cm, Width=18 cm. Condition : handle and lid restored, one small chips on the body.

Large longquan celadon bowl with crackled green glaze to footrim and decorated with carved floral motif, red burnt ring on the base. Dating from late the 15-16th Century from longquan Kiln, Width = 30 cm, Condition : Excellent, no chips, cracks, hairlines or restoration

Pastel titled Old Shipwreck, signed lower left Frederick Wagner (1864-1940). Wagner was an American Impressionist who studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts from 1879 to 1884. A beautiful and unusual silver overlay bracelet with a textured background by Frank Patania Sr. A wonderful modern design, this bracelet measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/8" opening. It is 2 1/2" wide and weighs 120 grams. In fine original condition, it is hallmarked as shown. A brilliant and rare piece.

This Mughal piece was made of a zinc alloy inlaid with flower patterns of silver and brass. A similar huqqa base in the book "Bidri Ware, inlaid metalwork from India" by Susan Stronge is dated in the first half of the 18th century. H. 18 cm. Diameter 16 cm. Very good condition with the inlay intact.

 

A Royal Crown Derby Traditional Old Imari 2451 pattern demitasse cup and saucer from the 1930s. This antique 2-1/4" high straight sided cann shaped coffee cup and matching 4-1/2" saucer is entirely hand painted, with no transfer applied. This English bone china cup and saucer has the Derby mark with the year mark for the early 1930s; this pattern was in production from 1902-2014. This cup is in the flat bottom, smooth rim design. A huge Qing dynasty Guangxu mark and period blue and white bowl, rounded side with deep center decorated with under glaze blue of landscape, mountain, trees, house, and one ship on the lake, there is Chinese inscription "Da Qing Guo Guangxu Jin chen Fujian Dehua Zhao" (Guangxu period made in the year of Jin Chen in Fujian Dehua).
Bowl is in perfect condition, no damage, no crack, no chip, no restoration, slightly warped.

Rounded cube paperweight with sightly irregular surface texture and flat polished top and base, gold foil ball inclusion in center of weight. The ball inclusion visually changes shape dependent upon ones viewing angle. Piece is a cube measuring 2.25 inches (5.7 cm) tall, wide and deep. Condition is very good, there is a 1/4 inch (.6 cm) surface scratch, but no chips, cracks or repairs. Scratches on base appropriate for age. Circa 1960's. Signed Venini/Italia

An early sterling brooch by Mexican silversmith Matilde Poulat who signed her pieces "MATL" beginning in 1934 until her death in 1960. The motifs of this pin- doves and tiny bells- are ones she used often.The doves have coral eyes and the bells have turquoise dangles. This pin measures 2" long and 1 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and signed for MATL in two places on the reverse. This is a wonderful and inspired early MATL piece.

Bronze Manjushri Riding Lion, Ming Dynasty 16th Century

The manjushri is 13 inches (33 cm) tall, and 8.5 inches (22 cm) by 3.8 inches (9.5 cm) wide. He weighs 8.13 lb.

He is in good condition with no repairs, or cracks, except a small chip at the tip of a finger, at the tip of his crown, lotus petals, beast's hair, tail, and the edges. There are also manufacture defect of firing holes and casting defects (as seen in the photos)...
