Chinese antique jade and rosewood opium pipe circa 1890. A beautiful example with mottled jade bowl in the shape of a fist pipe damper and mouthpiece are also jade the pipe stem is rosewood. Measuring approx. 14.5 inches in length the bowl 2.5 in diameter. A fine example would make a nice addition to any collection.

Rare Gorham Arts & Crafts sterling silver sauce gravy ladle in a hammered surface and with mixed metals design on the handle of two cherries, leaf and twig in bronze, and with a second leaf in gilded silver. Circa 1885. Excellent condition. Marks: stamped with the Gorham logo (lion, anchor, G) "sterling & other metals", and with the name of the retailer George H. Ford. Size: 6" length.

Both sides of on this antique printing woodblock are hand carved with 3 pages of text on each side. The text is a poem about the moon. With the upper sections of each page in Chinese characters and the lower text in Mongolian, this is a rare and interesting artifact of the Qing Dynasty reign.

The woodblock is covered in ink from repeated use but the text is still crisp and clear. Measures 9 inches x 14 inches.

Wood Carved Tonkotsu with Shibayama Works & Stag Antler Carved Netsuke, 19th Century

The tonkotsu is 3.5 inches (9 cm) tall, by 3.5 inches (9 cm) wide. The netsuke is 2.25 inches (6 cm) wide. The ojime is 0.7 inch (1.5 cm) in diameter.

They are in good condition with no repairs, except tonkotsu has hairline cracks, surface scratches, and minor chips at the edges (as seen in the photos).

A soapstone Lohan was in sitting posture.
Holding in the left hand with a rosary, the fairy saint hold a Ruyi in his right hand.
Smiling and in amiable mood, the stone figure was well depicted and was in warm yellowish tint due to enduring old age.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 18th/19th Century.

Height:7.3cm, Width:7.3cm, Depth: 5.8cm. Weight: 270gram.

Condition: very good except one defect at the mouth of the bag...

A Japanese lacquered agiro pipe case (kiseruzutsu) finely decorated with a cockerel and hen, signed Shinsen (?). The pouch is tooled leather with iron and silver cockerel and hen inlaid with a gold clasp. The ojime is shaped as Daikoku's mallet in unknown material. The actual color of pipe case is closest to the photo #11. 19th century, late Edo period. Dimensions: Pipe case, 8 1/2 " long, tobacco pouch, 5 1/4 " x 3 "
