A beautiful mid-century modern bronze pendant with a center agate by Pentii Sarpaneva, Finland. We do not see many pieces of Finnish jewelry in the U.S. and this one is wonderful. The pendant, including the bail measures 4" long and 2" wide at the widest point. The bronze chain is original to the pendant and measures 24" end to end. This piece is in fine original condition and signed P. Sarpaneva Finland Bronze. A rare and beautiful pendant.
Rare Edo period Japanese namazu-e (earthquake fish picture) woodblock print featuring a giant human-like catfish playing a samisen beside an oni (demon) who is seated casually reading a book. In Japanese mythology, it was believed that giant catfish living underground caused earthquakes with their thrashing movements. A Royal Dux Woman on Waterfall 440 porcelain figure from the 1912 era with superb detail. This beautifully modeled 15-3/4" Bohemian porcelain figurine depicts a nude woman perched on rocks over a waterfall. This figure has a matte grey glaze with gold highlights. It is replete with much bocage including branches; her face is attractive and finely painted. It has the orange Royal Dux applied triangle mark with an impressed 440 pattern number along with a painted 35 and it dates to the 1910 era...

A chambu lota, bulbous vessel for sacred Ganges water used by pilgrims. Made of brass and copper, with exceptional floral design. This type of metalware is known as ganga-jumna referring to the two great rivers of North India. Condition: the mouth is slightly deformed, few small quite invisible dents, the foot with a small breakage. Dimension: 16.4 cm high, weight: 1140 g.

The short flared rolled mouth over broad shoulders with the sides tapering to a rounded foot. The crackle consisting of golden thread and iron. The glaze is silky to the touch. The inside left unglazed as well as the base.
The base contains an older collection id number previous to my purchase.
There are no breaks. The vase has a few areas of glaze loss that occurred through the initial firing...

A rare of excavated pieces of Changsha type bowl was found in South Sulawesi area and exactly not from shipwreck in Belitung Sumatera. Bowl with everted rim and square-cut foot. Decorated in brown and pale brown under a green glaze with a freely drawn floral motif in the center and brown area on the rim. Late Tang dynasty 9th century, Hunan Changsha ware. A very interesting yet no less monumental bracelet by Enrique Ledesma in which the maestro combines modernist silver work with curved stone tubes left unpolished- a rather unusual choice for him. I am intrigued by the combination and think that the stones are actually malachite with veins of pyrite in them. Vividly colored, the bracelet has a stunning presence because of its magnificently architectural links and it feels divinely around the wrist...

A 14k gold 5 pearls row ring from 1920-30. This size 7-3/4 ring is in 14k yellow gold (obscured marks, tested) and it features five pearls averaging 2.5 mm each. Three of the pearls have a nice silvery lustre and the other two are slightly duller than the other three. This ring has attractive grooved shoulders and it has faint traces of the gold marks which may have been obscured by an older sizing...

In a perfect condition and owned the original cap, the ancient ware was uniquely decorated on top and on the body with whitish splashes.
The vessel stands on a small, solid foot with flat bottom.
Applied with dark tea-dust slip on most of the surface, the grayish white body clay was revealed underneath.
Enduring old clay verified its date.
