This Male Hindu temple figure comes from one of the Indonesian Islands. He is hand carved from a tree trunk and colorfully painted. At 210 cm he is with inches of being 7 feet tall.

Bold and precise pattern on this silver overlay cuff by Hopi silversmith Manuel Hoyungowa who learned from Preston Monongye. The cuff measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus a 1 1/4" opening. It is 1 1/2" wide and weighs 75 grams. Fine original condition and hallmarked as shown.

Fine Chinese Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Female Courtier ("Fat Lady") AD 618 - 906

Perhaps the most desirable and collectable pottery sculpture from the Tang Dynasty is the female courtier, or "fat lady". This fine example was made during the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). The figure is made from a reddish-brown pottery and is relatively highly-fired. There are minor firing fissures to the base of the figure where the pottery is thick...

Intricately hand wrought in sterling silver, this vintage 1950's Matl pin measures 3" X 2 1/4". A rare pair of long tailed quetzal birds looking over their shoulder anchor the five articulated components. Beautifully aged turquoise beads enhance the overall design. Fully hallmarked for MATL with an assay eagle mark 129. Pinback and safety latch are tight and secure.

Hopi Morris Robinson began making jewelry in the 1920's in Arizona and became a master of many techniques. These exquisite silver overlay earrings are a fine example of his talent. Measuring 1 5/8" long, they have clip backs and are in fine original condition. Weighing 12 grams total, they are signed as shown in the last photo. They would be a fine addition to the collections of those who appreciate important Hopi jewelry.

The glaze was in slightly darken green tint.
Crackles and glaze fret were resulted due to age.

This fine and attractive pottery model of a horse was made during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 8). It is made from a grey pottery that has been "cold painted" in a base coat of creamy-white pigment with details picked out in red pigment. The horse stands upright with its head turned to its right.

A lovely example of Dong Son Bronze Culture, made in Vietnam between 300BC and 300AD. H. 16 cm, wonderful patina and a small corner missing at the top. The stand is included.
