A daunting image by radical Nihon Nanga-In member and founder of the Osaka Art College Yano Kyoson (1890-1965) dating from earlier in this influential artists career. Crisp white walls of a strangely elongated house perch on the edge of a dark forest reaching up to the rain washed sky. A single tree ripe with yellow leaves guards the entrance...

 

This estate piece is a superb Japanese Imari plate, Meiji Period, having a central medallion and eight panels, scalloped gilded edges, white ground with hand painted polychrome floral and brocade decoration, red mark, blue and rust color design on underside of plate. Good-excellent condition, some wear to gilt, measures 8 3/8" diameter.

A rare early Ming dynasty 15th century blue and white large bowl, rounded side with flared rim, straight foot and glazed base, bowl outer wall decorated with fine under glaze blue of butterfly motif in different position, center with reverse blue base and white conch motif.
Bowl is in very good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration, crackled at glaze surface semi porcelain.

This is an exceptional work of art by H. Santana. The silver is thick and weighs 103 grams. The drop has 3 panels of 2.5in. x 2.75in. and displays a large presence. With the chain being exceptionally long of 18 inches then plus the length of the drop, you have enough to make it a custom fit. I am listing a cut work Santana obsidian bracelet that is a match for the necklace. The cut work is quite endearing with the hearts and scrolls of swirls...

This is a superb Bunraku puppet of the historical figure Minamoto Yoshitsune, one of the lead characters from the Tale of the Heikei and legendary fighter in Japan. The doll is incredibly mobile. Head moving up and down, his eyes open and close and move left to right. His eyebrows can be raised and lowered, and mouth opened or closed, all from toggles inside his kimono on the extended neck piece...

 

A good Yuan dynasty longquan celadon jar with applied moulded decoration of peony scroll, lower part decorate with stylish lotus petals, glazed base with un-glaze foot ring, jar covered with olive green glaze.
Jar is in good condition only with faint glaze star line at the body, probably becouse of manufacture bubble burst, no chip, no broken part, no restoration.

Three vintage sterling silver hinged pill boxes designed and signed circa 1920-1930's by Mexico artist Frederick Davis(1810-1961). Boxes measure 1 1/8"L. X 3/4" X 3/4"H. 2 are topped with a turquoise stone. 1 is topped with a Mexican opal. Each box is hallmarked on the bottom. All are in beautiful condition. Available separately at $250.00 each. Fred Davis designs are part of the the newly installed permanent 20th Century Mexican Silver Collection at LACMA- Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

A dragon wraps around the trumpeting form of this brilliant yellow vase by Makuzu Kozan II (Hanzan) enclosed in the original signed wooden box. A vibrant contrast between the yellow and blue is enhanced by the artists care and minute detail. The vase is 8-1/2 inches (21 cm) tall, 6-1/4 inches (16 cm) diameter and in perfect condition...

A Ming Zhengde - Jiajing 16th century blue glazed ewer, flattened pear shape body with straight spout and curving handle, the ewer covered with blue glaze.
Ewer is in good condition with damage part at the spout re-attach please see picture for detail, no restoration.

A brilliantly textured Oni-Hagi bowl dating from the early 20th century by Deika (Sakata Deika XII, died 1934), the radically fissured surface ruptured by exploding inclusions; the scars connected by cracks in the glaze giving the appearance of constellations written into a yellow sky. Outside the bowl is an earthy beige, mostly eclipsed by pale white. Inside the basin is the same earthy color, while all the walls are like salt foam...

 

A radical Iga vase by unconventional artist Kishimoto Kennin (b. 1934) enclosed in the original signed and stamped wooden box. The free form Terracotta image is covered in lichen-like pale green ash glaze. The vase is 10 inches (25 cm) tall, 5 inches (12.5 cm) wide and in perfect condition. Possibly better known today for celadon, Kennin went through a radical period some 15 years ago working on pieces like this unusually formed Iga ware...

A Yuan longquan celadon jarlet rounded body with raised neck decorated with dragon motif covered with olive green glaze.
Jar is in very good condition no damage, no chip, no crack, no restoration.
Size: 7.5 cm height, 9 cm wide.

A rare Northern Song dynasty 10th - 12th century celadon large dish, stone ware dish decorated with craved of flower and flying bird or phoenix in the center, dish covered with grayish green glaze, possibly products of Shaanxi or Zhejiang.
Dish is in good condition no damage, no chip, no crack, no restoration, minor glaze degradation.
