Gorgeous vintage pair of Georg Jensen dangle earrings in a repousse leaf and berry design designated as no 32A on their back. Sculpturality, exquisite patina and the unparalleled crispness in the design's execution transform the pair into a veritable miniature work of art. The earrings measure 1 1/2" long by 3/4" wide and the set weighs 9.2 grams. Both pieces are signed on the back with Jensen's post-1945 hallmark as shown in addition to the design number and "STERLING DENMARK"...

I have seen this brooch years ago with Fred Davis's signature and was a little surprised at the almost cartoon-like design at the time so the memory stayed with me since. And when I recently came upon the demi of brooch and earrings (you can see both pieces in the next to last photo), I held my breath - only to find Eagle 22 yet no FD initials on the back of the pieces. Unfortunately, Davis is famous for not being as meticulous as Spratling in having all his jewelry marked with his signature.....

The marrying of sterling silver with 18K gold is a favorite in vintage jewelry from Peru yet this bracelet is a rare opportunity to own an enameled piece that combines sterling and 18k figural appliques. Made by Old Cuzco, one of the best names in vintage Peruvian jewelry, this is indeed a rare bracelet. Though from time to time one will find smaller enameled examples, like brooches or pendants, enameled necklaces and bracelets are truly difficult to come upon...

Unusual, and very collectible onyx and silver ring designed and signed by New York silver artisan Sam Kramer. Ring face is 1 inch from top to bottom. Size 7 1/2. This piece might be referred to as Christmas jewelry as it carries an inscription on the inside of the band dated 12-25-72, Love Always Linda. The inscription could easily be removed but it does give the piece a nice history. The ring also carries Kramer's hallmark, a mushroom with two lobes...

Perfect for this summer's romantic bride an old Taxco, fan-shaped crown hair comb topped by repousse sterling spheres with cut-out designs and geometric motifs chased into it. Gorgeous and sooo romantic, it brings to mind Spanish lace, steamy hot temperaments and ladies with almond-shaped eyes... The comb measures 4 1/8" tall by 3 1/8" wide (at its widest, at the top) and weighs a good 20.2 grams...

A four millimeter faceted amethyst centers this openwork filigree bar pin. This elegant ornament is executed in 14 karat white and yellow gold. The top is white while the underside and the pin itself is yellow. It is a perfect representation of the deco look popular when the piece was crafted during the roaring 1920’s.

Stunning, big vintage 1950s Peruvian figural brooch bearing the signature of Italian-born Graziella Laffi, the so-called "Spratling of Peru". I believe the figure represents an Inca god, shown here with a snake coiled around his waist and holding two salamanders. The brooch is made of thick gauge silver sheet, perfectly cut and finished, with silver overlay parts and hand-chased details. A fantastic example of Laffi's exceptional design genius, it measures 2 1/4" tall by 2 3/8" wide...

One of my favorite Margot de Taxco all-silver designs, the beaded, undulating links of "5247" exude an unsurpassed sense of motion and their architecturality is only enhanced with patina as the years go by. One of the best Mexican Deco by pass rings I have ever had, a masterfully made, big example wrought in 980 silver and signed by a maker known for his clamper bracelets as well. Having justly earned a place in the pantheon of those artists whose work changed the way we design and think about silver jewelry, Matilde Poulat created a whole school of silversmiths who emulated her work not only when she was alive and active but even today, in the so called "post-1980" period of Mexican jewelry making. Based on Matl's signature Palomas motif, this is a big, impressive, nicely made bracelet. Coral, amethyst and tiny turquoise beads stud the repousse and wire work ornam...

Vintage Margot de Taxco sterling silver astrological pendant necklace, this one is for the Leo in your life and like all Margot's zodiac jewelry, sculptural and heavy. I have paired the pendant with a substantial, hand-wrought Mexican chain of the same period and the two look like they always belonged together. A rare find to come upon a Hector Aguilar ring - there don't seem to be many available! Yet here it is, an "Old Maguey" piece that would go perfectly with the matching bracelet also currently available in my inventory (see listing no 1097654). Not as massive as the other pieces in the parure, the ring is an easy wear whether for a night out or for your every day in the office. It is currently a size 5.25 but easily re-sizeable, I believe, without fear of damaging the hallmarks. Its face is 3/4" ...

An early Los Castillo creation as indicated by the low design number it comes with, this is a cuff with daring, sweeping lines intensified by the taller's bold repoussage and the patina it has acquired over time. It is not a coincidence that the Los Castillo family ranks among the premier designers and silvermsiths of Taxco's 20th c. Silver Renaissance. It is not only their stunning desing repertoire that awards them that position; it's also the caliber of their craftsmanship, the attention t...

I love the idea of combination pin/pendants - they make for such versatile jewelry and can prove a mainstay in a lady's jewelry box. And when they come with the signature of Matilde Poulat, especially an early one, it is very difficult to resist them! Like the big, impressive example here, in one of Matilde's signature designs studded with coral and turquoise. I particularly like the coral cabs in this piece - their color is rather unusual, more of a soft salmon hue that feels so pleasant to the...

A gorgeous example of my favorite Ledesma work this is a pair of earrings that illustrates in the best possible way the maestro's magic touch in the seamless combination of silver and stone. Resembling highly stylized calla lilies, the earrings curve and curl to reach their pointy height. The color of the malachite is saturated and its polished surface just perfect. Each earrings is just shy of 1 1/4" tall by 3/4" wide (at its widest) and the set's weight registers at 11.8 grams. Fully signed w...

Wrought in .940 silver and with a big onyx cabochon forming its body, a vintage Hector Aguilar brooch in the shape of a pelican. The combination of repoussage and chasing and the stark contrast between the black depths of the stone and the warmly glowing silver is what makes this piece irresistibly attractive. Measuring 2 3/8" tall by 2 1/8" wide (at its widest) the bird weighs 23.1 grams and is signed with a combination of hallmarks that dates it in the 1953-62 period. In excellent vintage co...

Stunning and rare sterling ring with intricately carved black onyx by Brazilian landscape architect and jeweler Burle Marx in the "forma livre" (free form) style. Vintage Chinese silver brooch in the form of a phoenix, the bird's magnificence illustrated with vibrant enamels.
