A hand engraved Smibo sterling silver child's hinged bangle bracelet from the 1950s. It measures 2" across the interior, and it is 1/2" wide. I have seen this brooch years ago with Fred Davis's signature and was a little surprised at the almost cartoon-like design at the time so the memory stayed with me since. And when I recently came upon the demi of brooch and earrings (you can see both pieces in the next to last photo), I held my breath - only to find Eagle 22 yet no FD initials on the back of the pieces. Unfortunately, Davis is famous for not being as meticulous as Spratling in having all his jewelry marked with his signature.....

A four millimeter faceted amethyst centers this openwork filigree bar pin. This elegant ornament is executed in 14 karat white and yellow gold. Stunning, big vintage 1950s Peruvian figural brooch bearing the signature of Italian-born Graziella Laffi, the so-called "Spratling of Peru". I believe the figure represents an Inca god, shown here with a snake coiled around his waist and holding two salamanders. The brooch is made of thick gauge silver sheet, perfectly cut and finished, with silver overlay parts and hand-chased details. The luckiest sign of the Chinese zodiac, the dragon, is depicted on the front of this 14Kt gold early 20th century locket. The eye of the dragon is a small green garnet, and the fire in the mouth is a cabochon amethyst. The front is in great condition as well as the inside including the bezel and the glass, the back of the locket has some light, negligible dimples. The diameter of the locket is 1”.

One of the best Mexican Deco by pass rings I have ever had, a masterfully made, big example wrought in 980 silver and signed by a maker known for his clamper bracelets as well. This elegant pair of 18Kt yellow gold leaf shaped earrings are accented by prong set rubies in the center. The hallmarks are 18Kt and Italy as well as a makers mark that looks like a stylized "H". A fabulous vintage handmade studio modernist bib necklace with black and white glass beads strung on brass wire, and engraved brass leaf or feather form drops at the end of each beaded wire. This authentic locket from the glamorous Victorian era is made of 14 karat yellow gold. It is decorated by a three dimensional applied design with four seed pearls.
