Here is a fine squat jar form vase, the deep red clay covered in fish-eyed tenmoku glaze by Living National Treasure (Ningen Kokuho) Shimizu Uichi (1926-2004), enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Iron red shows through with startling effect like meteorites in a dark night sky of blue and brown. It measures 6-1/2 inches (16.5 cm) tall, the same diameter. Shimizu is known for the soft persimmon red temmoku (iron oxide) glaze, as well as crackled white and celadon glazes...

Look carefully as this may well be a very early as found example of a Victorian smaller neck Barrel Clasp Graduated Faceted from 8 to 17 mm Rich Red Cherry Amber choker bead necklace. It appears that at some early point the Original 14.5" choker was made longer to 16" when one of the earlier owners may have added eight 6mm faceted citrine color cut glass beads, still retaining its early super condition cherry amber barrel clasp.

Striking sterling necklace by Reveriano Castillo. He was among the first apprentices with William Spratling and later worked with Hector Aguilar at the Taller Borda. In 1952, he and Maria Castillo opened their own shop that they called "REVERI". This necklace is simple and elegant as typical of their style. Measuring 11 1/4 inches wide x 14 ¼ inches high, this wonderful, subtly colored, all original, Cream of Wheat puzzle featuring the ever-smiling Rastus holding a scythe in a wheat field is a based upon the 1907 advertising lithograph entitled, “What shall the Harvest be?”

The character of Rastus was based on an actual person- a black waiter from Chicago- who was paid $5 for the use of his image by Colonel Mapes, the General Manager of the Nabisco Company, the owner of Cream of Wheat...

This is a wonderful lithographed tin of Wilson’s CO-RE-GA denture adhesive powder with a great image on front. Marked FREE SAMPLE on the front. The tin was manufactured by The Corega Chemical Company, Cleveland, Ohio, with offices in London, Paris, and Montreal. The brass cap marked is Co-Re-Ga and includes its 1933 Patent number.

Some powder still exists! There is unobtrusive tarnishing, but no corrosion. There is a 1/4" area of paint loss to the back top left of the tin...

Description:This superb glazed bowl was made in the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). The bowl has been glazed in a yellowish glaze with the freely-drawn design in green and brown glazes. Diameter 15 cm. Condition: There is a tiny chip to the rim and the four areas of brown flaking glaze to the sides have been touched up .An unique example very rarely offered for sale. Similar example was seen at the book of "The Chinese Potters' Exploration of Iron Oxide Glazes".

A superb necklace by Carmen Beckmann. Rare to find, it has 6 oval bezel set unfaceted amethysts as the focus of each of the six panels. Measuring 16 1/2" end to end and 1' wide, it weighs 95 grams and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks in the stones. Lines that you see are natural inclusions all under the surface of the stone. Circa 1960-70, this is a beautiful necklace.

One of the most interesting vases I have seen by this potter, quite striking in appearance, with brick colored dashes struck briskly through the dark molasses of the vase. Offered for sale is a 19th century, medium-sized, apothecary pharmacy bottle sporting “PULV. CANEL. ALB.” on the label under glass label!

The 8.25 inch tall bottle is marked on the base, “WN WALTON PAT. SEP 23 1862”, and is of early blown glass construction. The fancy, recessed applied label is complete and is in very nice condition. The stopper is of ground glass construction and is in very good order as well.

The inside of the bottle is 1/3 full of a light brown powder. Very nice...
