Wonderful sterling reptilian like sterling bracelet designed by Grete Prytz for Jacob Tostrup, Norway. The back round of the bracelet is textured and oxidized. Some of the oxidation extends onto the punched out pieces that look like reptile scales. These pieces were made with and without enamel. I offered one with enamel a few weeks ago and then was shocked to locate another without enamel. This bracelet came with the marching pin which I am listing separately...

A Pair of Rockingham (1826-1842) English Footed Compotes or Dessert Stands. The design features a peach band, with a gilt rim and floral decorations in the center and on the rim. Dimensions; 9" wide x 2.75" high. There is a slight hairline on one base (see picture), otherwise in excellent condition.

 

This is a Japanese lacquered hair comb and pin set. The dimensions of the comb are 2 1/4 inches by 4 1/12 inches long. The length of the hair pin is 6 1/2 inches long. It is probably from the Taisho to early Showa period.

Beautiful Black Japanese silk kimono Uchikake (Wedding Gown): In Japan, there is a popular term that describes a very loving couple. They are called an Oshidori Couple. It must have come from seeing pairs tagging along so closely together near ponds or lakes. Many folk tales were told in different regions associating their affections for each other.

Here is a strikingly beautiful view of an Oshidori couple, flying over a pond and plum trees in a dark background...

C. 1940 Bold Impressive Signed: Made in Mexico Ambriz. Not marked, but tests at least 70 GRAMS of sterling! A Fred Davis design, but this one has applied ornamentation. 7 1/2 X 1 1/2" Wide. 1/4" thick Hallow Ware with applied granulation. 2 tiny dimples, not bad for age.
