Gladding-McBean (Franciscan) wood-handled EL Patio Carafe set with 4 cups. Each cup has a detachable handle of metal and wood. The color is Golden Glow. The carafe stands 7.5 inches (19 cm) Tall and each cup is 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) Tall. No chips, cracks or repairs. EL Patio line was created in 1934. Circa 1880’s, this extremely rare, Log Cabin Cigar Tobacco Box with its fabulous, all-original, color lithograph is in just wonderful condition given its 120++ years of age!

Missing is much of the green liner paper to the box interior as well as the lower portion of the exterior brass latch. Additionally, the cabin lid has detached from the base although all aspects of the brass hinges appear to remain intact...

Travel set of two EBONY brushes with natural bristles and one comb in a Crocodile skin covered two piece case. The brushes and comb fit snugly in the case. Crocodile skin is in excellent condition with no dry spots. The brushes are marked FRANCE and EBONY, the comb has no markings. Extremely Rare Poupee (doll) from the Louis Vuitton Toy Shop. Doll is pre-1941. Made from a type of plastic (celluloid?) with delicate hand painted features, dressed in a detailed regional costume of Bretagne (Brittany). Her original hang tag reads Je m'appelle/DONATIENNE/mon pays est/Batz sur Mer/en Bretagne which roughly translated is "My name is DONATIENNE and my land is Batz sur Mer in Brittany". Batz-sur-Mer was part of Brittany until 1941 when it was separated by the Vichy government...

In 1912, in a stroke of advertising genius, Mayo's Tobacco Company packaged their cut plug tobacco in round tins with a lithographed character. Each held 1 pound of tobacco. The tins were opened by removing the head!

These "Roly-Polys" were a unique shape that distinguished them from the rectangular and lunch box-shaped tins that surrounded them on store shelves...
