An Art Deco sterling silver tea ball strainer with chain and ring for steeping loose tea leaves circa 1920s. This vintage and classically simple tea serving piece includes the original chain and it has the original finger ring. It is stamped with an obscured silver mark on the finger ring, it is 1-3/8" in diameter and it weighs 17.7 grams. Gilt silver and plique a jour enamel hors d'oeuvre fork by the famous Norwegian silversmith Marius Hammer. Circa 1890-1930. Size: 4.5 inch length. Condition: some minor lines and nicks in the enamel. This small two-tined fork has a twisted gilt silver stem, with a finial decorated in shaded, translucent enamels in the form of red berries and leaves that shade from blue to green. Hallmarked on the tines with the initials of Marius Hammer and the .900 silver standard.

An Indonesian Yogya .800 silver tea strainer. This 5-3/4" long pierced tea server features a prettily engraved figure from the traditional Indonesian Wayang Kulit (shadow) theatre. It weighs 27.9 grams and it has a twisted stem and a tab for holding it onto the glass or cup. It is stamped 800 with a maker's mark (we were unable to identify the maker) - it appears to be an H with a B in centre...

This wonderful example of tramp art came from Le Mans, France. It has a lion's head handle & stands upon four metal claw feet. Faded red velvet sets off the many intricate layers of carved woodwork.
