By the London silversmith, John Keith, this ornate cream jug was made in 1853. The hallmarks are all clear, and include the silver standard, Queen Victoria, the date mark and mark of Keith. It measures 5 1/4" high and is 4 1/4" wide from tip of lip to handle. Lovely rococo repousse designs, with the base standing on four feet in the shape of hooves. There is a small bird engraved on the front, not clear in photos, and also worn. Condition is good, with some tarnish visible, and slight dents...
