English George III period sterling silver oval tea caddy, London, 1796, by John Crouch I and Thomas Hannam. Size: 4 inches high x 4 inches long x 2 1/2 inches deep. Excellent condition with no repairs or damage. Engraved on the front with a family crest. Fully hallmarked on the side and also on the lid with lion passant and maker's stamp. The wooden finial is carved and is secured to the cover with a sterling nut.

Pair English George III knife boxes in Hepplewhite style. Circa 1800. Each box veneered in figured mahogany with boxwood stringing and serpentine shaped fronts. The sloping hinged lids are adorned with marquetry ovals depicting a dove on an olive branch on a hardwood ground. A rare and early chalk ware figure of a resting spaniel with finely molded detailing, glass eyes and the original finish. Circa 1870's to 1890's. Size: 16 inches long x 4 inches high x 11 inches deep. A few minor chips to the underside, not visible on the exterior, and minor scuffing consistent with the age.

With lovely detail, and movable wings, this spice container measures 8 3/4" long and is 3 3/4" high. The head detaches to show a shaker stopper and the wings are hinged to open.
