An exceptional and very rare to find early Taxco repousse bracelet, I am used to similar pieces - as rarely as they come up - hailing from Mexico City where Matilde Poulat also developed her style. Yet this one is clearly marked "Taxco" and though its design and the techniques used remind me of similar work done by P.Ochoa, the bracelet at hand is not signed for maker...

Early, stunning and in excellent vintage condition, an all-silver repousse Matilde Poulat necklace featuring her favorite dove and rose motifs. I can hardly exaggerate the caliber of the craftsmanship and the attention to every minute detail in the execution of the design. This is indeed a true masterpiece dating in the beginnings of Matl's career and we all know how difficult it is to find such an old piece by her any more...

Beautiful drop necklace made from soft coral pink silk cord, cross sectioned shells, and small shells, in the style of the Miriam Haskell jewelry made during the 1930s and 1940s from natural materials. The silk cord is knotted in an intricate and dramatic draped design. The length can be adjusted by "buttoning" one of several end strands through the loop at the clasp. A perfect resort or summer look. I am also listing a similar necklace, from the same estate, in green...

One of the best repousse figural brooches I have had over the years this is an early, stunning bird studded with blue and greenish blue turquoise cabochons. The repoussage is definitely the work of somebody who mastered the art - bold, deep, with excellent detail that has been accentuated with time by warmly glowing patina. If you have to portray a peacock, it better look like this one here! The brooch measures 4 1/8" tall by 1 7/8" wide (at its widest)...

This Los Castillo design 262 is an early one created when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Don Antonio Castillo. I believe these early pieces are the very best of her work. Stunning in size with an almost 2 inches of height and a weight of 123 grams of almost pure 980 silver. I also have the matching necklace to this bracelet listed on my site. The condition reflects no damage and also well cared for over time. The diameter is 2.25 inches with the gap set at 1in...

An Italian mosaic pin brooch and screw back earrings from the 1930s-40s. This attractive set features multicoloured roses and flowers on a turquoise ground. The glass tesserae are quite fine and they are set in filigree wirework gold plated brass. The pin measures 2 x 1-3/8" and the screwback earrings are 3/4 x 5/8"...

A lot of flash! This brooch measures 4 1/4 inches long by 3 1/4 inches wide. Large, prong-set square and rectangular red unfoiled stones, with clear round rhinestones single and pave set, in a rhodium plated setting. The pin is strong and locks securely. Pin marked with a single script 'E' (for Eisenberg?) on the back. All stones are clear but a couple of the larger stones do have scratches.

An Italian mosaic floral bracelet from the 1940s-50s. This pretty vintage 8-3/8" bracelet has four identical 1-1/8 x 7/8" filigree-edged panels interspersed with 1/2" circular segments. It is in a silver plated metal, it has a box clasp and a safety chain. It is unsigned and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs with no losses to the tesserae, however there are a couple of minor wear spots to the plating...

I am assuming that Barrera must have been an early Mexico City maestro since most of his work that I have had is in the style closely associate with that city and Matilde Poulat's creations as well. I believe that his jewelry is of excellent quality, his repoussage comfortable and very confident at the same time, and the finishing always impeccable...

What can I say about this truly rare, amazing find? Early, early Mexican repousse bracelet, similar to Matilde Poulat's first creations, it is wrought of 900 silver and probably hails from Mexico City. I believe that this is an early A. Tobias piece based on the raised initials "T.A." that are part of the hallmarks and also on the style, date and workmanship...

Sweet and most probably early Los Castillo repousse silver bracelet, its links shaped like curved "X"s accented with beads and deep chasing. This is a very attractive design and the patina that the bracelet has acquired over time enhances its three-dimensional quality. Good weight that feels warm and intimate around the wrist - perfect for smaller to medium wrists and in excellent condition. 6 3/4" long (wearable) by 1 1/8" wide and 44.0 grams. Fully signed as shown with the taller's name, des...

Obviously influenced by the Spanish Colonial tradition, an early Deco Mexican silver and malachite necklace with the fleur-de-lis motif at center front! Distinctly Mexican in its craftsmanship and combination of materials, it is nonetheless more "discrete" and "romantic" than most pieces from this period. If you always wanted a vintage Mexican necklace that will catch the eye without overwhelming it, this was made for you. Measuring 16" long (wearable; easily lengthened with the addition of a st...

There are six different sizes and six different shapes of crystal-clear shimmering rhinestones in this Eisenberg five level brooch. A complex and beautiful design. The rhinestones are prong-set, and the back is rhodium plated. It is stamped Eisenberg in block letters and there are two sets of numbers which are not legible. The brooch is 3" by 1 7/8", and is 1/2" thick.

Koi fish is a motif automatically associated with Margot de Taxco in Mexican silver jewelry - the Grande Dame's love for Japanese art provided inspiration for many of her designs and those who either worked with her or simply emulated her creations helped the influence live on even after she stopped being active. The bracelet at hand is a rare find - not only because it's not repousse but consists of links carefully cut out of thick silver sheet but also because the fish are inlaid with shimm...

Fun and fanciful!Miriam Haskel has used glass beads, pink iridescent crystals and tiny rhinestones to create this bracelet. It can be worn at the wrist or further up the arm. It is old Haskell with the horseshoe mark (visible in the enlargement) placing it most probably in the 1940's. Expands to fit any size.

Trifari design patent number on the back of the brooch--#129320--reveals that the design was created in 1940, probably by Philippe for Trifari. It is a treasure, and oh so graceful in line. 4" long, 1 3/4" wide. Slightly convex, rhodium plated.
