Very stylish is this finely crafted Victorian 15Kt gold sapphire and oriental pearl heart shaped broach/pendant. The 1 1/8” high and 7/8” wide openwork heart broach that is wearable as a pendant as well. It is decorated by 15 bezel set natural sapphires and 16 various size oriental seed-pearls. The period broach is marked 15Ct which clearly indicates that it was made in England.
This beautiful 14k (tested) rose gold brooch has a floral and crescent moon motif (the crescent moon is the symbol for intuition and new beginnings), accented by 10 rose cut diamonds in closed-back settings. The diamonds sparkle very nicely. It has 2 makers marks: an oak leaf in an oval, and the letters “JR”, and possibly another that is illegible; no hallmarks. It measures 1-1/2 x 3/4”. The shaft connecting the flower to the backing has been repaired...
Here is a Victorian book chain, 17” long, with two spring rings. Men: use it for your pocket watch, in true Victorian style (great for cosplay – especially Steampunk or Dickensian-type events.) Ladies, you can do the same, or hang a locket or charm on it! Each link, which looks like a little book – hence the name - has a pattern stamped or engraved into it. Some links show some wear consistent with age. It weighs 17.1g and is quite charming! The photos are a part of the description...

This bangle bracelet is quintessentially Victorian. It is a hinged bangle made in the crossover style, with an ornamented top. The rectangular box ornament on top is flanked by a half-circle ornament on either side. It is gold filled, with moderately worn plating and dates from the late 1800s or very early 1900s. It is unmarked.
Here is a Victorian gold-in-quartz (also called “gold quartz” and “gold-bearing quartz”) brooch. Gold-in-quartz is rare and becoming more so. It’s our understanding that it is now found in very few places in the world – possibly only one mine in California. The 14kt yellow gold setting has twisted gold on top of a carved gold oval. It measures 1-3/8 x 1-1/8" and weighs 6.8g. The pin assembly has been replaced. In excellent condition...
Here is a pretty woman’s face in profile. Her long golden hair trails down to end with a tiny baroque or freshwater pearl. Total length of the face, hair and pearl a little less than 3/4”. This design was based on a drawing by Charles Dana Gibson – a Gibson Girl! (See the final photograph.) It is marked 14k, weighs 1.2g, and is in excellent condition. It doesn’t have a maker’s mark, but we have seen this same stick pin with Alling’s mark. Circa 1910...
Here is a lovely Victorian cameo, set in flourishes of yellow gold and decorated with 4 pearls. The background is a slightly darker pink than the lady. The attention to detail in the carving is very nice, and she is in excellent condition. There is one missing pearl, but it’s unnoticeable. It seems to say “SIG” in script across the back. The bale is signed with “10K” inside what looks like a stylized “C”. It measures 1-13/16” not including the bail, by 1”...
Two exquisitely detailed birds (probably vultures, and very Egyptian-looking) embrace an opal cabochon. This is an Egyptian Revival watch pin made of 14 k gold. The original catch has been replaced with a more modern safety catch.
The pin is 1 1/2" wide by 5/8" high and dates ~1880.
Here is a classic Victorian pendant/pin or brooch, with a pinwheel motif, and 9 lovely bright dark purple garnet and glass doublets (from the period when amethysts were quite rare and expensive; they made these doublets out of comparatively inexpensive material but a lot of labor, which was much cheaper), and many seed pearls. It has both a pin stem assembly for use as a brooch, and a jump ring so it can be worn as a necklace...
Emeralds (birthstone for May) have been thought to bring wisdom and preserve love. These sweet bright green emerald earrings are made from unmarked but tested 14kt rose gold. They are 13/16” long, and the buttercup settings measure 1/2” across. The stones measure 5-1/2mm across. I believe the ear wires used to have hooks to slip into, but those are not present and the stubs have been smoothed over. One of the emeralds is chipped in the back, but both stones face up well. The gold shows a nic...
Here is a very pretty starburst pin/necklace, perfect for a wedding (or any other occasion!). Made from 14k gold (marked and tested), it’s set with seed pearls and an old European cut diamond in the center. It has a maker’s mark in the shape of a Maltese cross. Measuring 1-1/8”, it weighs 6g. The bail folds down nicely for when you want to wear it as a brooch. The 18” chain is gold filled, and not original to the piece. It comes in an antique dark blue velvet box, somewhat worn, but swe...
This elegant and beautiful band features a continuous wheat sheaf pattern (wheat signifies love and charity). It was made at the turn of the last century, according to jewelry historian Christie Romero (RIP). She told us it was probably made using a process called “die rolling.” It is marked “22ct”, “PLATINUM” (the platinum is under the gold, as you can see in the photos), and the maker’s mark is “B’s”. We believe it is from England. It is size 5-1/4 plus a little, and it ca...
