This elegant and beautiful band features a continuous wheat sheaf pattern (wheat signifies love and charity). It was made at the turn of the last century, according to jewelry historian Christie Romero (RIP). Here is a lovely Victorian cameo, set in flourishes of yellow gold and decorated with 4 pearls. The background is a slightly darker pink than the lady. The attention to detail in the carving is very nice, and she is in excellent condition. There is one missing pearl, but it’s unnoticeable. It seems to say “SIG” in script across the back. Here is a sweet little pendant or charm made by Jean-Baptiste-Emile Dropsy, one of the famous French medalists. The design was usually made out of a heavy gold plate, but this one is 18kt rosy gold. Signed by Dropsy on the front, as is usual with French medals, it measures 1/2” in diameter (with the jump ring, 7/8”), and weighs 1.5g. A great example of art nouveau enamel work is this 14Kt yellow gold pansy watch pin/pendant. The vivid violet color gradually transitions into white and from white into light brown in the center. The center is further enhanced by an approximately 0.15Ct old-mine diamond. The pin/pendant is designed in two overlapping layers has a safety catch and a fold down bail. Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, here is an English brooch featuring a large peridot (1 cm x 6 mm or 3/8” x 2/8”), and, on either side, seed pearl-set gold shamrocks. Flanking those are 3 demantoids garnets per side, plus 1 above and 1 below the peridot. Peridots symbolize spring and youthfulness, and it is said to bring health and wealth. This beautiful Art Nouveau dragon doesn't hoard treasure--he is a treasure! The pin is 18 k gold (tested). The wings are edged in 7 rose-cut diamonds each and his tail is tipped with more rose-cut diamonds. He holds an Old English cut diamond in his beak. The pin is 1 3/8” X 1 ¼”. It has an early-style safety catch. The hinge is a replacement. There are no marks. Circa 1900.
