This is an incredibly rare Los Castillo early brooch numbered 169. The azurmalachite is 5/8th's inch long and the entire length of the pin is 3 inches. The width is 2inches. This is an extraordinary sterling bird pin/pendant by Salvador Teran. It is a magnificent example of his fascination with overlapping planes. The front feathers stand out in front of an oxidized background and the tail feathers move freely and swing. This is a large piece measuring 3 3/8" long and 1 3/8" wide.
