Superlative Prosa silver and amethyst bracelet, this is a Mexican treasure by a maker who was not as prolific yet seems to have had moments of absolute brilliance during their work years. The piece at hand speaks by itself - just take a look at the beautifully handcrafted, slightly slanted sterling links! This is thick silver with deep hand-chased details and amazing patina. And the amethyst cabochons, saturated and full of interesting inclusions, are to die for...

Magnificent long silver and turquoise screwback earrings by Matilde Poulat. These are hallmarked with her very earliest mark, dating them 1934-40. The scrolling silver work is stunning and delicate and the center drop dangles freely. These measure 2 1/8" long and weigh 19 grams total. There is a very slight ding at the bottom of one of the center dangles that is visible in the photos, but it in no way detracts from the beauty of these fine earrings...

Generous in size and studded with channel and bezel set stones, this is a glorious Matilde Poulat cross whether you wear it as an expression of your spirituality or as a work of art. Matl's signature wirework and beading combined with the patina the pendant has developed over time make for a strong, eye-catching presence. The hand-wrought chain that it comes with is Mexican as well and of the same period (yet not a Matl piece) and I believe it complements it in the best possible way...

Ultimately modernist in its approach to personal adornment, with Enrique Ledesma's signature perfection in the marriage of silver and stone, a necklace and earrings set with triangular links of sterling framing richly colored azur-malachite. Honesty of materials, craftsmanship of the highest level and immaculate finishing create a superb example of Taxco lapidary and silversmithing prowess. The necklace measures 15 3/4" long (wearable) by 5/8" wide while the clip-back earrings are 7/8" by 3/4"....

We are looking at a signed Los Castillo design # 472. The necklace is 1 1/8th inches tall and has a comfortable length of 17.5in. Because of the height of this piece the wearable length is 16.5in. I have never seen this link in the past and it is made with open backed repousse which was used in the beginnings of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. The weight is a hefty 86 grams and reflects the quality of this necklace. This necklace came to me with a natural, very dark patina. There are no dents or...
