An extraordinary amethyst and silver bracelet by Fred Davis, c 193. The weight and mass of the large rectangular amethyst stones is complimented by the open design of the silver links. I believe this bracelet to be quite rare. It measures 7 3/4" end to end and is 1 1/4" wide. It weighs 88 grams. It is in fine original condition with only a tiny line and ding to the edge of one of the silver rounds. It in no way detracts from the piece. I mention it only for total accuracy...

A magnificent sterling and turquoise necklace and matching ring by Fred Davis. It is all original and in beautiful condition. The ring is signed but not the necklace so I would always keep it as a set. The ring is a size 6, front measures 1 1/8" long by 3/4" wide. The necklace is spectacular, a collar really, measuring approx. 16 1/2- 17" long. Hard to be exact because it is curved. It is 1 1/2" wide and weighs 148 grams...

This beauty is fluid in it's motion with a length of 17.25 inches long. The weight is 304 grams of almost pure silver which is visual as a very white silver. Signed Fred Davis bracelet features a large height of 1 7/8th inches and a inner diameter of 2.25in. The silver is thick and weighs in at 80 grams of quality construction. The warmed turquoise cabochons are all similar in color. I do believe they are all original stones. The beloved parrots decorate the design all the way around with a cut out dimensional design. A rare Fred Davis collector quality bracelet.

The quintessential Art Deco designer, Abraham Paz is one of the earliest maestros of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance. He worked in Mexico City and many of the designs we associate with Fred Davis are actually Paz's creations. His minimalist "masks", shield-form links and tiered ring settings epitomize the elegant geometry the 1920s and 1930s are known for while also foreshadowing the less-is-more attitude of modernism. Pinky-size yet easily resizable, the ring I am presenting here is adorned...

Unique and very rare is this Los Castillo 419 brooch with a built in triple bead necklace when attached to a collar. The swirl medallions disconnect (with an old spring ring push pin) so you can wear just the medallion brooches if desired. The medallions are thick and heavy repousse at 47 grams. Their length is 2in. x 1.25in. wide. The largest bead on the drop is 14mm. When laid straight the brooch is 7.75in. long. This treasure has been handled with love and is without damage.

Dating around 1930, this Mexican Deco Fred Davis necklace in a design that rarely comes up, is an early example of "mixed metals" jewelry. Combining repousse silver with copper wire and then bringing in ripe, saturated color with the amethyst cabs, the necklace is an ode to vineyards and aromatic red wine. Though the brooch of the parure appears in the third edition of Morrill's "Mexican Silver" (p. 28), the necklace is hard to find and I am thrilled to be presenting it here. Beautiful repoussag...

Bearing a combination of hallmarks that dates it around 1939 this William Spratling ring is wrought in high purity .980 silver and has developed the most amazing patina during its long and - I am sure - happy life. According to Goddard, Spratling used to refer to this design as the "crowned pyramid", an appellation that makes more sense if one looks at the matching bracelet from above as it lays on a flat surface. Not an over-complicated design, it does, however, gain sculpturality and substanti...

The repousse is not backed as you can see and the weight is 71 grams of heft. The top of the bib spans 7.5 inches across and 3.5 inches long in the center. There is no damage of any kind...
