Very beautiful and early Fred Davis sterling and Rhodonite ring. This same ring, with an amethyst stone, is featured on page 27 of the 4th edition of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. They date it c. 1930. The face of the ring measures 1" wide and 3/4" long and it is a size 6. Weighing 14 grams, it is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the stone. Signed as shown. A great addition to a Mexican Silver collection.

I am offering a rare amethyst Antonio Pineda bracelet. It is trapezoidal in shape with straight barrels and no chips or cracks to the stones. The stones range from dark purple to some stones with lighter swirls. It is properly hallmarked as shown and displays a light patina. I have tried to show the bracelet in different light for the best viewing of all links. Pineda used 970 silver content for his work giving it a whiter look as it has a low alloy content...

Strong in concept & design this awesome bracelet was created & signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). 1 1/8" tall with an interior wearable length of 7" this piece weighs a hefty 126 grams. The six large, hand carved obsidian stones catch the light beautifully, emitting a deep, subtle glow from within as the wrist moves. Both the stones & silver are in pristine condition. The slide in clasp & safety chain are tight & secure.

Enrique Ledesma was known for the use of beautiful stones and impeccable workmanship. This bracelet is a published design in Penny Morrill books on the subject of the Mexican Silver Renaissance. The stones are magnificent showing only natural lines to the stones. I really could not capture their beauty with my camera. The barrels are all straight showing off the crisp condition as well. The length is 7in. long and one inch tall. The hallmark is rubbed but there...

We are offering design 263 which is one of the early Los Castillo pre-Columbian swirls. The necklace is one of the most magnificent Los Castillo designs and this one is 17 in. which makes it fit nicely as most are very short in length. This is properly hallmarked with the old linear Los Castillo hallmark as shown. There are many copies out there but this one is genuine and a pre-1948. It moves like a slinky with the rivets that hold the links together for strength...

One of the Los Castillo workshop earlier creations as is indicated by its low design number the “koi fish” bracelet dates from the years when Margot de Taxco was still married to Antonio Castillo and under the spell of Japanese aesthetics. The bracelet I am presenting here has all the distinctive elements of the motif – the fish swim in and out of undulating waves with air bubbles surrounding them and their tiny scales are carefully rendered en repoussage...

One of the best Spratling treasures is this V cuff . It is big at 163 grams and 3in. tall on the front angle. It currently is 2.5in. at the inner diameter. Hallmarks shown are noted in the book Spratling Silver A Field Guide by Phyllis M. Goddard to be 1st phase. The jewel has been well kept with no dents and the very pretty stones have natural inclusions as to be expected. The V cuff is thought to be designed by Valentin Vidaurreta who was respected by William Spratling...

One of Margot de Taxco's very best and most loved designs numbered 5184. Margot Van Voorhies opened her taller after her divorce from Don Antonio Castillo and ownership of the successful Los Castillo taller. Margot was known for her innovations to the jewels she created for being multi purpose as is with this necklace. It breaks down into 2 brooches, a bracelet and an extension to wear higher to the neck or longer with varied necklines...

This signed William Spratling X&O design pairs with the X&O necklace also listed on my site. The height is 1in. and the length is 7in. with a wearable of 6.5in. Margot de Taxco designed beautiful enamel work. The properly signed as shown example presented today is one of the most vibrant of her work. I do not list many enamels due to their condition after close to 60 years of being on this planet earth. This one is museum quality and in MINT condition. The wearable length is 16 inches. The drop is 2.5in. tall and 3in. tall. Spectacular and rare, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Doris Silver has a rare story in the period of the Mexican Silver Renaissance of being a store that allowed walk in artists to design and manufacture their jewelry. If she thought the work was the very best she would buy the work. Many famed artists that were in between houses for work produced for Doris. This cuff is unbelievable. The fire opals are blazing while the bracelet itself is massive. 100 grams heavy with a height of 3.5in. tall. The floral motif displays heavy repousse in the most f...

This is a signed and iconic thumb print Antonio Pineda necklace. We see the bracelets on the market fairly regular but NOT the necklace. It is heavy at 194 grams. The height is 7/8th's to 1 inch. It is an amazing half an inch of depth of almost pure silver at 970. There is a natural patina currently on this Pineda which is the way it will be kept for the new owner to do as they wish. The necklace is strung with TWO silver chains for security. We are fortunate to also have a comfortable 17 inches...

A really fantastic early vintage Mexican Silver Cross with original chain by Matilde Poulat and signed with her old mark MATL. The hanging angels are so special with hand carving to the tops. This is the first time I have owned one with a chatelaine. A chatelaine's purpose is to make it more decorative with a smoother lead into the drop. Please note that both the chatelaine and the cross has cut outs under the amethyst stones to aid in more of a glow. This was done at the Matl taller only in the ...

Signed Fred Davis bracelet features a large height of 1 7/8th inches and a inner diameter of 2.25in. The silver is thick and weighs in at 80 grams of quality construction. The warmed turquoise cabochons are all similar in color. I do believe they are all original stones. The beloved parrots decorate the design all the way around with a cut out dimensional design. A rare Fred Davis collector quality bracelet.

This is the type of Mexican Silver Renaissance necklace that you hope you will find at some point in your collection. Valentin Vidaurreta was a premier designer starting in 1931 designing for Frederick Davis and had a workshop in Mexico City. Here with this necklace you see an eagle 9 which was only given to Hector Aguilar. Vidaurreta had most of his work hand made by Aguilar when he moved to Taxco. William Spratling felt so highly of Valentin he designed work for him as well. Valentin hallmarks...

A most desirable signed Matl from when Matilde Poulat was designing in her shop. This necklace has a 16.75 in. wearable length with a width of .80 of an inch. The head is the larger size with varied tones of large blue turquoise stones. Old Matl is so hard to find and this design is seen mostly in gold wash over silver. This one is all silver. You may see these in a shorter length for less money but they will rarely fit due to the length. The weight is 124 grams. All the coils are smooth layin...
