A Maestro from the Spratling era but with a Mexico City designation and with a conjoined HT hallmark built this necklace of thick silver weighing approximately 77 grams. The silver pearls are without dents and may show reflections. The length is 15in. and height is one inch tall. It lays smooth against the skin and for a shorter necklace that is worn higher up it feels barely there. Striking presence, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Another Margot van Voorhies Carr masterpiece properly hallmarked Margot de Taxco and without eagle sixteen as her very earliest work had no eagle and sometimes eagle 1. This is a very early design #5161. This example is one of the finest I have found. It is extra large weighing 90 grams heavy and is taller than most at 1.5in. tall. No damage or flaws just some flecks of patina which is warm and fabulous. Collector and museum quality.

A Zuni sterling silver and turquoise double row cuff bangle bracelet circa 1960s. Another one of my Taller Taxco treasures, this necklace, obviously based on Salvador Teran's design, came to me with a matching bracelet (by yet a different maker) which I will be presenting in the next few days. An intriguing taller, its relationship (or lack thereof?) to Teran still remains cloudy yet its emulations of Salvador's jewelry are of the highest quality and craftsmanship. The amethyst comma necklace is one of the most recognizable of Antonio Pineda's works of art. The silver is 970 and silky to the hand. There are no cracks or chips to the stones and no damage or flaws to the silver. The most important thing to look for is how the silver comes up and forms a wall on each link at edges. Most are uneven and without a sharp edge. The length is 16in. long,.75in. tall and it weighs in at 102.5 grams heavy. There is a gorgeous patina to the swirls but if you like this ...

In emulation of a Margot de Taxco's design a vintage silver and black enamel necklace signed by Narvaez. I am familiar with the specific maker's Deco jewelry yet I have never seen an enameled piece by him! Based on a difficult to find (at least in my experience) Margot original, I love the sweeping motion of the stylized feathers and their generous size. A stunning piece, it measures a wearable 17 3/4" with its feathers part being 4" wide by 2 1/4" tall (at its tallest). The width at the chai...

Based on the dramatic contrast of highly polished silver against dark, oxidized backgrounds, Sigi's jewelry is eye-catching without having to be burdensomely elaborate. The necklace at hand illustrates, I believe, my assertion in the best possible way. Gorgeous, a pleasure to wear and to behold, and a true Tasco (sic) modernist treasure. It measures just shy of 16" long (wearable) with the central mirrored part of it being 4" wide and 1" tall (at its tallest); the width of the chain itself is 5/...

The second Erika Hult de Corral bracelet currently in my inventory (please look for item no 1189406 as well), this piece is absolutely fabulous. Quite substantial yet still comfortable to wear, its mod sterling links are studded with green, mossy agates. I LOVE this signed Los Castillo bracelet! It has to be a Margot design while married to Antonio Castillo. The design number is an early one being #228. The almost 2 inch clasp is the crowning touch to the 7mm beads of 3 strands. Fitting nicely with a bit of a drape to the hang it has a 7.75in. wearable length. There is some patina showing on the beads that may make it look as though the bead is cracked but it is not. The barrels for the closure pin follow the line of the large silver clasp and t...
