Outstanding sterling and high grade turquoise necklace from Frank Patania Sr.'s Thunderbird Shop. The five silver plaques each have triangular shaped stones set in plain bezels that are surrounded by silver twisted wire. The center plaque is the largest and measures 2 1/8" by 1 1/2". The stone in this plaque measures 1 " by 3/4". The full necklace is 15" end to end but could be made to hang longer with an extender if so chosen. Sometimes I find a superb vintage Mexican Silver necklace that is unsigned as this one is. I believe todays offering is an early 1930's date as signing the work was something that William Spratling really just started in his beginnings in Taxco.
