An outstanding sterling and azur-malachite bracelet by Taxco silversmith Enrique Ledesma. This work is what he is best known for- fusing silver with stone in an impeccable manner. Vintage hand wrought sterling silver stuffing or serving spoon designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). Large sculptural sterling silver belt buckle designed and signed circa 1960 by Taxco, Mexico silver Maestro designer Antonio Pineda. This 2 piece buckle measures 5 1/2" across X 2 1/2". The detailed design depicts a hunting scene with applied raised hunter and an animal figures. 145 grams, 5.01 oz. Beautiful vintage condition with no dents, dings or repairs. This is a heavy sterling charm bracelet with the zodiac symbol Libra charm by Margot De Taxco. The design and construction of the link bracelet is exceptional and it is not often that one can find that the actual original bracelet to the charm. Outstanding sterling and high grade turquoise necklace from Frank Patania Sr.'s Thunderbird Shop. The five silver plaques each have triangular shaped stones set in plain bezels that are surrounded by silver twisted wire. The center plaque is the largest and measures 2 1/8" by 1 1/2". The stone in this plaque measures 1 " by 3/4". The full necklace is 15" end to end but could be made to hang longer with an extender if so chosen. A gorgeous hand made sterling ring with fabulous stones of pink and green tourmaline and citrine by Arizona Modernist H Fred Skaggs. The face of the ring measures 1 1/8" long and 7/8" wide. This is a very unique sterling concho belt by Frank Patania Sr. The overall length of the belt is 31”. There are 9 conchos and the buckle. Each concho is approximately 2 ¾” long and approximately 2” wide. Each concho has a textured and oxidized background with two attached hand-stamped "button/dangle" combinations. Sometimes I find a superb vintage Mexican Silver necklace that is unsigned as this one is. I believe todays offering is an early 1930's date as signing the work was something that William Spratling really just started in his beginnings in Taxco. This pin offers a bold design with an oxidized, textured surface and recessed center. The rounded edge is decorated with applied half-beads. There is a silver mark for Poland on the pin stem, but the mark is partial so doesn’t indicate city of assay or silver content. The piece is from the 1960s-1970s, is sturdy and exhibits a lustrous surface; the catch is formed from a wide band into an updated C-clasp. It measures 2 ¼ inches long by 1 ½ inches wide.
