Measuring 4 inches high & 3 1/2" across this impressive hand wrought sterling silver & bronze brooch was designed & signed in the 1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). The detailed repousse' work is exquisite & the condition excellent. The piece weighs 57 grams and is fully hallmarked. The pin back & safety are in fine working order. This thick, iconic Spratling design was handmade & signed in the early 1940's. The bracelet measures 3/4" high with an interior wearable length of 6 1/2" & weighs a hefty 87 grams. Very strong, outstanding design in this mid-century sterling pin by Taxco artist Sigi Pineda. Magnificent, rare, Hector Aguilar "Tubular Drops with Curved Squares Incised Necklace" as featured on page 31 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. Fabulous and very hard to find sterling and emerald bracelet by Salvador Teran. A great Modernist design with links that all move and give a fluid, comfortable feel on the wrist. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" end to end so for a small wrist. It is 7/8" wide and weighs 57 grams.
