A vintage Scottish sterling silver thistle pin or brooch with a claw-set amber stone dated 1964. This 5/8" sterling silver cairngorm kilt pin weighs 14.2 grams, it has a safety clasp, and it is stamped F.N (for F. Narborough, Birmingham, England). This pin is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This signed William Spratling X&O design pairs with the X&O necklace also listed on my site. The height is 1in. and the length is 7in. with a wearable of 6.5in. Surprisingly the bracelet is very heavy and each link is an outstanding 1/4in. thick. Hallmarks date to approximately 1942 and there is no damage or repairs of any kind. The weight is staggering 102 grams. Simply superb. .

From a private collection, a fabulous sterling and tortoise belt buckle by William Stratling. It measures 3" by 1 3/4" and weighs 43 grams. It is in beautiful original condition. A belt buckle with this same silver and tortoise combination is featured on page 56 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. Appropriately signed with the last Spratling mark and the eagle 30. An important and exquisite piece for the Spratling collector.

This lariat solid silver rope necklace is extremely elegant with a width of .25 inch. There is a clamp also hand made to fit this necklace and lock it in place where ever you wish it to hold. The tassels have the fine strands of chain with satin finish balls. With a weight of 93 grams it displays great beauty. The length with the tassels is approximately 42 dramatic inches. Sanborns crafted this open backed repousse cuff with a floral motif. This type of work is an early method with this one being of exceptional weight of 71 grams and a height of 2in. Sometimes these cuffs have holes where light comes thru and or have a lighter weight of silver. This has none of those issues of damage, repairs or faults of any kind. A lovely item of early work to be admired by collectors.

This versatile necklace designed & signed c. 1960's by San Miquel de Allende, Mexico artist Carmen Beckmann measures 25" long & weighs 63 grams. Older Wider Silver Cuff marked "Hecho en Mexico" & "Talleres de los Ballesteros Taxco" around their distinctive "B" mark. The Hecho en Mexico is around the "925". There are some initials after the word Taxco "I G...". Just over 1 3/4" wide (4 tier style) and weighs 1 oz or 28 grams on postal scale...

An exceptional sterling cuff bracelet by Margot De Taxco. Beautiful flowing pattern with swirls and curves and bead work. The eye moves continuously when looking at this bracelet. It is a hinged cuff in fine original condition. It is 2 1/2" wide in the front at the widest point and tapers to 1" at the back where the hinge connects. It is 6 3/4" around in the inside when closed but can really fit a larger wrist since it opens in the front...

It is not easy to stumble upon a vintage Los Ballesteros carved "mask" ring but when one does find an example, what a feast it is! There is nothing "timid" about this piece. The philosophy here is big, bold and beautiful and I believe that the Los Ballesteros workshop accomplished all this monumentality in the most amazing, masterful, and eye-pleasing way. The "mask" is here carved out of a dark green agate, I believe, with grayish white specs in it...

Utilitarian Chatelaine Pencil marked: "A X T Sterling" then "Made in U.S.A." 2.75" Long. (loop is 1/8" extra). Could be worn today as a pendant on a long chain. Retracts perfectly. REPLY 1/11: regrets, unable to find maker's info.

Huge, meticulously worked, with such detail and rich presence this Mexican Deco sterling silver bird of paradise is one of my absolutely favorite brooch designs. I have to admit that I really love brooches - I seek them out and try to find the best examples for One Good Eye Silver and it doesn't matter to me if they are "in" or not at the specific point in time. Brooches are classy; they can be delicate and romantic; and they can be bold and beautiful...

Only one like this. c. 1925 Acid Etched Amber Glass, often referred to Lalique like because of its fine design, Czech Fire Polished faceted black tear drops and Signed Sterling was used to create this heirloom piece. Simple design applications allow these etched pieces to nearly stand on their own. Would have been listed in "Estate Jewelry" were it not for the new sterling fancy paper clip chain (17.5"). Pendant: 1 7/8" long. Earrings: 2.25" long.

Generously long and definitely mod, this Erika Hult de Corral necklace is a minimalist little treasure! Not only does it wear like a dream - for me it is the epitome of "less-is-more", except for the luscious greens that make the polished stone centering it a treat for the eye. This is a pre-1980 example of her work and quite versatile since you can easily wear it with that classy black dress or have it casually adorn your favorite worn T-shirt...
