This Dominguez displays turquoise stones that have all warmed with time which collectors long for. While having a wearable length of 17inches it is also quite wide at 1 1/15th inches. The style of Mexico City folkloric is clearly recognizable from Matilde Poulats work in the same era. A Fantastic look with a basic white button down shirt. Los Castillo design 183 is 1in. tall and is constructed using the repousse technique. The silver is very thick which weighs 50 grams and has a width is 1in. This Matilde Poulat Mexico City folkloric bracelet in the Moth design has the early 30's mark of 930. Her taller Matl produced her heaviest silver work in it's beginnings. The bracelet is repousse and 7in. long. It is large measuring 1.75 in. tall. There are lines and matrix in the turquoise but no cracks or chips. All folkloric work has it crumples and cloud like puffy surfaces and this one is in excellent condition. There is glare in my photos and a natural super deep patina to it's surface...

The Hector Aguilar Glyph is a rare treasure from the Mexican Silver Renaissance. This one has a 990 mark making the silver almost pure. It is soft to the hand and more white in color. The 990 also reflects the age of the piece being one of Aguilar's earliest pieces. We have seen the matching brooch featured in Penny Morrill's books on Mexican Silver. These matching Tobias cuffs were purchased together and have stayed together through time so I am continuing the tradition here with presenting them as a pair. Both pre-1948 cuffs are signed Tobias and are 2 7/8in. tall. Each weigh 76 grams and 79.5 grams respectively. There is a one inch gap and they are sizable. Today we have a very rare, old pair of Matl, Matilde Poulat cufflinks that are with no damage. The coral has mellowed with age to an orange / red. The center stone is faceted amethyst and being very clear, high quality which Matilde Poulat used in her beginnings of Taller Matl. An Art Deco sterling and gold front step side signet ring from the 1920s. This size 5-1/2 ring has a central 9/16 x 5/16" overlay gold front with a Gothic letter (an E or F, we think) with a corner hand engraved embellishment. The flanks are engraved gold as well and the mount has stepped sides. It is marked STERLING with faint signs of other marks which have been lost due to resizing in the past. These rectangular cuff links are composed of a central band of ebony flanked with two bands of rosewood inset on a sterling silver panel. The hinged bars are marked Lewittes for California-based modernist designer Esther Lewittes. Aside from one slightly misshapen bridge bar, they are in lovely condition, with only minor signs of wear, and no loss to the wood. The cuff links measure 1 inch long by ¾ inch wide by 1/8 inch deep.

Signed with Poulat's earliest hallmarks this bracelet dates to 1930-40's. The gently curved center panel measures 2 1/2" across & 2" high. Each of the 8 side panels are 1 1/2" high.
