One of the nicest, early Los Castillo repousse necklaces I have seen, this piece is a pleasure to wear and to behold. Meticulously worked scrolling links with beading and scale details combine in a pectoral that is eye-catching and attractive without being overwhelmingly big. With a wearable length of 16" (might wear a little longer because of the flexibility of the central links , its pectoral part is about 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/4" tall while at the chain, the necklace is just above 1/2" wide...

The quintessential book-piece and one of Hector Aguilar's most loved and time-defying creations the Maguey necklace at hand is wrought in almost pure, 990 silver and dates early in the maestro's career. Stunning, difficult to find and sublime, it measures 18″ long (wearable) with the central links part being 6 1/8″ long by 1 5/8″ tall (at center front) and the chain having a width of 1/2″...

Stupendous - literally - Francisco Rivera for Emma bracelet in an "archeological" design, this is a cuff fit for a warrior princess! Hefty, meticulously worked and perfectly finished, it exudes confidence and represents the epitome of the "statement" bracelet. It is tapered so as to better fit the lower arm / wrist and its inner circumference at mid-height is 6 1/2" (including the 1 1/4" gap; I have a 5 3/4" wrist and I can wear it pushed 1 3/4" above the wrist bone)...

This is a very old pre Spratling era Yalalag cross with it's original chain of a long 48 inches. Each cross on the chain is of thick silver. All of the beads on the chain are 9mm and hand made. The drop is 6in. long and the beads are much larger than the chains beads at 13mm. Again all the crosses on the drop are extremely thick silver and are also hand made. Pieces like this were normally not signed and this one is of no exception...

A cast silver pin/pendant with irregular branches and a lustered, textured surface. The abstract design is enhanced with a translucent lacquer finish that gives the silver a whitish or gold tint in some areas. The glass beads are a deep red to imitate coral and are secured with adhesive applied to the back, in some places excessively. The rollover clasp is in good working order; a sturdy bail is applied behind one tip. The piece measures 2 ¼ inches long by 1 ¾ inches at its widest area...

Featured on page 139 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill, this is the Silver Discs Bracelet by Hector Aguilar. It is a remarkable bracelet with graduated, alternating 940 silver and copper discs, each disc linked together by a silver pin that enable the links to move. They end with a secure push in clasp. Because of the curve of the bracelet, it is difficult to get an accurate measurement but I believe this would best fit a 6 1/2- 7"wrist...

One of the best Mexican Deco by pass rings I have ever had, a masterfully made, big example wrought in 980 silver and signed by a maker known for his clamper bracelets as well. Phenomenal attention to detail and finishing and quite elaborate in its execution, this is a visually strong, early Taxco ring. Currently a sz 8.25 it is adjustable upwards. Its face is 1 11/16" by approx. 7/8" wide and the piece weighs 10.1 grams...

One of those necklaces that become the backbone of a serious collection and precious heirlooms to be passed down from mother to daughter to grand-daughter. Signed with Aguilar's initials as shown as well as “TAXCO...
